Wow! I can't believe it's has been a whole year of these challenges! I hope you are ready for lots of stamping because I want you to make LOTS of cards for this challenge. This week's anniversary challenge is to find ways to use different styles. Shabby Chic, Retro, Vintage, Feminine...whatever you can think of. Pick a focal image or group of images and layout that you really like because you are going to try and recreate the card as many times as you can, each with a different style. No flaking out on me here! For each card...use the same or very similar layout and focal image and color scheme. For each one play around with changing up some of the elements of the card to give it a different style. You can pick a color scheme and change up the accent color, use different techniques etc. and different embellishments and also different background stamps if you wish to get a different style for each card. I hope this makes sense...I haven't slept for more than 2 hours straight in over a week...gotta love babies! I had hoped to get some examples made up for you but just didn't get the time...they're still in my head.
The idea for this challenge came from a couple cards I made last spring...hopefully these will help start you off.
Now here is where I usually say...blah, blah, blah...this is not a contest etc. Well this week there will be a couple small prizes, so get going! One prize for the person who makes the most variations of their card and one prize for the person whose card gets the most comments. So get stamping and get commenting so your fave card can win! You have until mindnight EST next WEdnesday to complete them all. If there is a tie, we'll go with the person who reached that number of entries first.
Please remember to put WT53 in your keywords section and post a link back here...we don't want to miss a single one!
Also if you all want to use this thread to list different types of styles...that would be awesome. I can think of a bunch more but I'm not sure what to call them!
Wonderful challenge Julia. Glad I have until next Wednesday though. Today is a wash, I have to work and get ready for a workshop tomorrw night. I tend to have only one style so this will be a stretch for me! Thanks for coming up with it! Oh yeah Happy Anniversary!
Oh by the way, I have started a campaign to get Jeanne on the Dirt Pile! If you want to add your thoughts go to General Stamping thread and look for "I've started a Campaign."
Anniversary Happies to you, Julia! Gooood challenge. Hope I have time to make a bunch. DH wants me to work this afternoon & you KNOW this weekend is VSN!
Julia, this IS a challenge! I can't wait until later when I can get started.... I won't be able to stamp this entire weekend, so tonight might end up being an all-nighter.

VSN...yeah I know!:( I won't be able to play this time again! I was only able to make 1 card for the last one and 5 for the original VSn last May. My weekends are wayyyy too busy.:???: Is there a crying smilie?
This will definately be a challenge. It's a good one! I have sooooo much housework to do and family coming in Friday so I will do my best to get as many done as possible. Thank goodness there is a whole week. ;)
Thanks Julia!
I have only recently joined in on these challenges and I love them because the inspire me to try new things. Well, Julia, you really came up with a good one this time! Now, if this doesn't get the old head to thinkin, I don't know what will. And so now, folks, we all disappear to those craft areas to take up the challenge! Happy Anniversary to all you stampin junkies out there who joined from the beginning!

OOOOOOhhh, Wow, Julia...this is a great challenge! I love things that force me to stretch my thinking processes. So, to make sure I understand...we choose a color scheme and a stamp set and stick with it through out the whole process. We can change the neutral color and the background stamp, but basically stick with the same stamp set and color combo? Wow, this could be a contest on how many ways can you explain the challenge!
I have my grandsons over for the weekend starting this afternoon, so I'm not sure how many I will get done. I'm very glad we have until Wednesday to work on this. And Julia, I do hope your babies begin to get better and stay better very soon! Thanks for the challenge!

Heather, I agree with you and Beth...Jeanne and Trudee BOTH should be shoved into that big dirt pile!!! They are both so fantastic, I'll get over to that thread soon, and put my 2 cents worth in. Thanks for getting the dirtpile started!

This is great-I'm already half done from making baby thank yous. Not sure how I'll make the bunnies from Spring Gifts look something other than Shabby Chic, but this works out so well for me today!! Great challenge!
OK, I think I am following all of the rules here... I am going to stick with this layout and my color choice is kraft and regal rose, my main image is the dress.
This is WAY too much fun!!!!! Here's my first one ~TROPICAl style~:
