Default Mxing Brands - Coloured Pencils

I'm in the process of upgrading my coloured pencils from Mont Marte colour soft, and was wondering if mixing brands matters at all? I have a couple of Derwent Coloursoft which I love, my partner has found a set of 24 Prismacolours that i'm getting for christmas to play with. She's buying me a bigger tin in January, I just need to decide the brand I want. If I got the big tin of Derwent, could I fill in the colour gaps with indiviual Prismacoulours? Do they blend together ok?

TIA

I have Derwent Coloursoft, Prismacolor and the odd Walnut Hollow in my collection - I use them together with no problems, they blend fine and they all blend with OMS.

Have fun with your new pencils!

Mix em all up! I have Prisma, Derwent, Blick, Kimberly, and even Crayola. They all play well together with OMS.
