SU added a bunch of new things to the Clearance Rack today and this time I didn't get the "sold out" notice
They have bunch of the wide striped ribbon (I got 4 colors) oh and dsp that is really pretty for two dollars and 4 dollars!! yipee! I'm not a huge fan of the current dsp so this is terrific for me. I also got some pleated ribbon for 1.39, I just LOVE that stuff.
Doin' the happy dance
Except I just spent the rest of my craft show earnings. But I'm very happy ;)
I just had to have some more ribbon, cause I'm a new demo and I didn't have any ribbon until a couple months ago. I don't have much dsp either. I used up all I had while making things for a craft show. How could I resist pleated ribbon for a buck ??
Carole....I got an email from my demo this morning and I spent the first half of work ordering! haha
I was so excited to get some Christmas DSP and some ribbons that will work great for Christmas crafts. I had just said the other day in the craft fair sellers thread that I needed a few things from SU and was going to order then THIS! I spend $100 but I did get a ton of stuff I wanted, so very excited. I hadn't ordered anything for a while so it was nice and I can't wait to get my order. Whoo hoo!!
So many of the new Pantone colors for 2013 looked like SU In Colors, so I'm glad I finally got around to snagging them. (I think that's the first time I've ordered from SU in almost two years!)
I placed a $300 order!!! crop-a-dile!!! ribbon!!! stamps!!! i don't think the clearance rack has ever had stamps?? maybe? markers! cardstock! brads! dies!! great stuff!!!
I bought every ink pad. I just started buying Stampin Up last year. I wasn't sure I'd stick with it so I bought the spots. What a great way to upgrade some colors to full size!
I see some core color pads and markers on clearance. Does this mean they will be discontinued in the next catalogue?
Since the current catalog, you can only get individual markers in certain colors. The ones on the clearance rack are markers that you can no longer get individually.
The ink pads are the old style ink pads but current colors.

They are all the old style pads, and there are 24 colors of ink pads on there, and I seriously doubt they will retire all of those at once.
Peach Parfait and Pear Pizazz are already retired
Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder are all 2011-2013 in colors and they will retire BUT any of them could be added to the regular line up.
Spent an hour on the site. A few seconds before I hit pay button, the page updated. GRRRR
It went from 43 items to 30! So I didn't get any ribbon or markers or the punch I wanted.:(
I don't think that all the ink pads on there are retired COLORS but that they are surplus of the left over old style pads. Since all the inks pads sold currently are ALL the new firm foam pads, I believe this was a good way to clean out some older ones.
Some of the items are running out of stock now. I missed the stamp scrubber! Oh well. I ordered the new bigger one. My scrubber is on its last leg so one way or another I needed to order one.
I was thrilled to see the crop-o-dile on clearance. I have the big bite but the little one would be nice for crops and such. The old style heat gun! That was neat to see on there. If you don't have a heat gun, good time to pick one up.
And don't forget the wheel stamps are GREAT unmounted!!! Very easy to unmount as well!!!!
I just spent $48 and got over $142 worth of products! I have been wanting the matchbox die forever but just couldn't see spending over $40 for it. So happy!!! So, if it allows you to go through the entire order process, the items you ordered would still be in stock, corrrect? I was surprised alot of the stuff I bought was still available.

Hey Kelly! Good score for you too! Those prices are great for making craft show things aren't they? I could have gotten more, but I've already spent all the money I made on the last show lol!!

Now have I enabled anyone!!!!!!????
Michelle, you're going to love the bigger stamp and scrub! Did you get any of those Rhinestone brads? They are soooo pretty! I saw many more things I like, but I kept telling myself, "you can't have it all, and you don't need it all." Geeze, I don't know where that practical voice comes from!! lol
Then you're in luck, because the butterfly punch that goes with the stamp set, Papilion Potpourri, is in the regular catalog and not out of stock. Attachment 263927
The one you saw on the clearance rack is retired. Which I'm happy about because I can't wait to make some of those pretty dresses and a Hula girl!!
Hi sc magnolia! Thanks for the plug for my card. I first saw it on Ellen's blog. She did some amazing work but has taken some time off from paper crafting.

You're so very welcome! I just love what you did with that punch and I can't wait to made some pretty dresses with it!
I'm having knee replacement surgery next week and I think punch art will be something I can do during recovery. I won't be able to set at my desk, so I thought I could punch while in my recliner I also plan to work out a punch art class where people would produce a punch book of designs.
I lone the CR. I like the simply sent packs because the make fabolous gifts. Hmmm, my sister's birthday is coming soon. Maybe I need to go and take another peak. ;)
I did get the rhinestone brads!! Who doesn't need a little bling??!!! Right!!!???
Good luck on your surgery. Punching will be a great way to use your down time!!! The class sounds really cool!!!
I went back last night and ordered the matchbox die. I didn't need it....until I saw all the amazing stuff made with it!!! Off to pin some projects!!!!

I got all mine too. Forgot to order the neutral brads. I got B.Bride &P. Pizzazz CS, some markers, and two colors of that pleated ribbon I always wanted but never ordered. Few other things too. Awesome prices. Really considered the dsp but I need to use what I have!

If it weren't for checking SCS I wouldn't have found out about the clearance sale. I scored on ribbon and paper. The deals were just too good to pass up.
SC Magnolia, I hope your surgery goes well and you recover quickly! If you'd share the punch designs you come up with for your art class I'd love to see them.
Well, that "less than $50" comment above...remember that? Yeah, no longer true! ha! I was looking on Pinterest and saw this: Stampin Up Boxes & Bags / Stampin' UP! Pillow Box, Itty Bitty Bits
That was what it took for me to go BACK ON and order all of that ribbon that was out there! I am a little miffed at myself to have to pay shipping again but it's my own fault. I just love that little pillow box!! Ok...that's it...no more...I swear! I was on the phone with my demo while placing my order to be sure I was not forgetting anything this time! Also decided to get the sail boat stamp because I am certain I will use it and I always debated buying it before.

Sure thing Rosie! I'm working on a clematis right now. My BFF loves flowers, so instead of traditional wrapping, I've got a wooden fence in my head with Clematis climbing on it. I'm thinking to use the stylus to create veins on the leaves... not sure about the center of the flower. Maybe fringe some ribbon. I've been using punch art on several friends' packages this year. I took pictures and put them on my blog.

lol!!
I'm so glad you shared that little pillow box! That would be great to make for craft shows. I have the ribbon and one of my friends has that pillow die.
I was just at her house and she made the MOST beautiful card set boxes. She use clear plastic to construct a box top. OMG to die for gorgeous. She used those same rhinestone brads that I just ordered from the Clearance Rack to secure the corners. She was a demo for 10 years and has everything
I got some of that ribbon too, I just love it My Upline got every single color of it. The Irish half of me WANTED every single color, but the practical Scotch half of me took over and said, "you don't need all of that." But ya know, that Scotch half does LOVE a bargain!!!
