Ha....well I don't have much else done so I think we're even, lol! I'm cramming all the Christmas cards/crafts I have time for in...which isn't much with working a lot this month! Maybe I'll do better next year:-)
I loved the Spring catalog but I am not crazy about the SAB sheet thingy. I thought the layout of it was confusing but overall I looked at the products on it and ..I am LOVING the mini punch and stamp set. I love the embossing folder with matching stamp set. I have seen some GREAT things already with these sets!!!!
Why did I think that the SAB had it's own catalog? So, it's SAB on the spring mini? I'm confused now...no surprise!! haha!!! I got a preview of the spring mini and there was not really anything in there that jumped out at me but, who knows, there have been lots of times in the past where things did not jump out at the time but then after while I decided that I had to have them

The SAB has a fold out flyer to advertise. The layout is totally different from what they have done in the past. Definately more current and trendy. I'm not crazy about the layout but it isn't awful either. I guess I can overlook it because I like the products!!!
They also have some items in the SAB catalog from the main one that will be part of the buy $50 get item for free. Like the diagonal score board plate.
I just got the SAB brochure from my demo in the mail. Until I see wonderful things made with the stuff, I'm not all that excited either. The faceted buttons are the only thing that peaks my interest and it's a regular catalog item that's on special. Shrinking everything down in size to make a smaller brochure didn't help either.

I'm not a huge fan of the brochure either or all of the offerings BUT I like that SU tries new stuff. I get set in my ways and fear change so it's nice to see people shake things up, lol! I gotta say though, the patterned occasions set is super cute and make super cute and quick cards! I think it's my favorite thing in there! And I do like the cute flow chart on the back. It's quirky and silly!
I received my SAB catty earlier this week. I did NOT like the layout of the catty. It was difficult for me to figure out what was what, more space was used for advertising, and I HATED the fold-out (vs. book format). I wasn't too motivated by SAB products.
I don't mean to come down on SU's SAB party....just sharing my honest opinion. I figure the more feedback from customers SU gets, the better so that they can improve next time.

Yeah it's different for sure. It's growing on me though. Contact SU and share your thoughts! I do think they are trying to make the SAB "different" from the catalogs as to not get them confused. It's just really busy isn't it?
I got my SAB catty today. I thought some of the stamp sets were cute, but the layout of that brochure was awful. Please, if you are a SU demo...pass along to the powers that be at SU that it was hard to read, hard to figure out and a poor layout. It didn't do much to showcase what probably are some nice products. It was nice to see some variety of the stamp sets, though.
It is less money to produce a pamphlet with few colors than a glossy colored, stapled booklet
If this means more money is spent in other areas (like great customer service and technology to keep coming up with new products) GO FOR IT!
I'm all about efficiency and saving costs!! However, you need to create advertisment that "appealing" to your customers to "motivate" them to buy, buy, buy. ;D
I have to say that SU's customer service has always been exceptional. I've been very impressed with their care and responsiveness. Fortunately, it's VERY rare that I even have to contact customer service...they are fabulous about quick and accurate shipment.
I hate to admit to what an old fogey I am but I showed the SAB flyer to my neice - she is 24 and studied art, graphic design. She loved it and said it was right on trend. Very appealing to her.
So that is yet another nail in my coffin... )
