Default MMTPT228 -Ring-a-Ling- Dec. 11, 2012

Performed by the wonderfully talented Jackie Wilson.

Silver Bells

Silver bells, silver bells
It's Christmas time in the city
Ring-a-ling, hear them sing
Soon it will be Christmas day

City sidewalks, busy sidewalks.
Dressed in holiday style
In the air
There's a feeling
of Christmas
Children laughing
People passing
Meeting smile after smile
And on ev'ry street corner you'll hear

Silver bells, silver bells
It's Christmas time in the city
Ring-a-ling, hear them ring
Soon it will be Christmas day

Strings of street lights
Even stop lights
Blink a bright red and green
As the shoppers rush
home with their treasures

Hear the snow crunch
See the kids bunch
This is Santa's big scene
And above all this bustle
You'll hear
Silver bells, silver bells
It's Christmas time in the city
Ring-a-ling, hear them sing
Soon it will be Christmas day

Destination Station: This week our destination is DeKalb, Illinois. If you would like a destination for your card this week, how about sending it to Marlene. Marlene is the mother of Fellow Teapotter Gabby (Gabalot). Marlene has had a difficult life with many serious and difficult health issues beginning at the early age of just 24. After reading the information written about Marlene in the Destination Station post, you will understand why Marlene is discouraged and feeling a little down as she faces more surgery in the weeks to come. She is finding it difficult to get into the spirit of Christmas. We can bring that Spirit of Christmas to Marlene in true Teapotter style be sending her festive cards with hopeful, encouraging messages.

To read more about Marlene as well as get the address to mail your cards to, please visit Post #327 in the Destination Station tread. Please remember that just because you participate in a Teapot Tuesday challenge that is combined with a card drive request, it does not mean that you are REQUIRED to send your cards. It is totally 100% voluntary!

Challenge Translation: Bring silver ornaments or sparkly snowflakes or icicles.

EPEC - Extra Points for Extra cookies if you bring a hint of pink, but it's the backdoor for you if you bring red or green!

Personal Note: I am on call for jury duty this week - can you imagine?!! - when there are cookies to bake (and eat!), so I may be a little slow in leaving comments, but I promise to leave one on each an every beautiful card. Thanks for understanding!

Here is my card.

Here is a Quick Link to the Teapot Tuesday #228 Challenge Gallery.

Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT228 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!

Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? SCS has given Mothermark permission to create an email Teapot Tuesday Cheater Group and email the challenge out on the Saturday before the Tuesday of the challenge so you girls can have the weekend to make your card. Send her a pm with your email address if you wanna be a Cheater!

If you are confused about these challenges, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges. Feel free to grab this I survived Teapot Tuesday Badge for your blog!
