Default Help - Need better topper for ornament

DD and I made some alcohol ink and glitter ornaments for our annual exchange party. Any suggestions on either a better bow style or ideally something a little different to finish off the top. We will be including the fancy ornament hangers, but I still think it needs a little something, and the bow is not doing it for me - seems too traditional for a sort of funky modern ornament. I know someone on Splitcoast has an awesome idea for me.

Those are so pretty! I LOVE the beaded hanger. I was thinking maybe a more structured, beaded bow? I found these Crate and Barrel napkin rings that could be replicated. I really do like the bow on the one you have pictured however!

I really like ribbon bows on Christmas trees, so I really like the bow you used. I think Rachel has a good idea about using a beaded bow, too. The ornaments are beautiful!

Rachel - that is a great idea! Thanks so much! And thanks to all for looking and the nice comments.

I give my process in my gallery:Glitter and Alcohol Ink Glass Ball Ornaments by karjor - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
I will update my gallery comment with tips a few of the things I am discovering as well as links to some helpful tutorials I have found.

And any other topper ideas are welcome - I'm going to ame a few more of these since they are fun and pretty easy.

Thanks!! Maybe instead of a ribbon bow, make a bow out of black tulle. Just thinking that the mesh look of the tulle would be more modern and kinda funky than a traditional ribbon. Maybe spray the black tulle with some silver spray on glitter.

*like* No like button but I think this idea is awesome. There are so many "netting" type wired ribbons too. Or even a stiffened lace. Ooohhh the possibilites!

TBH I'm more of a less is more person. Maybe just leave the bow off altogether, because everything else I keep thinking of seems to kill off the beauty of the ornaments.

My only suggest is a tag with the year (or something as suitable) on it.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions. I will have to get some mesh and tulle next time I journey to the craft store. I have been having so much fun with these, I posted some more. Thanks again!

I was going to suggest Outlines Rubber Stamps, but the company seems to be closed. However, I found one of their Ornament Topper stamps in ebay Here.
It will end soon.

The ornaments and hangers were a big hit. Lots of oohing and aahing. The red one with the wire freeform bow topper was highly coveted. I explained that I had been assisted by an "international community of crafters" in design ideas, and the group started calling it "the international ornament". It received the maximum of two steals very quickly in our process - so thanks for all the ideas. I maintained my rep for cool handmade ornaments with your help!

I made them - directions are in the description in my gallery. Fun and once you get going, they are only a few minutes each - unless you are obsessive like me and have to try every possible bead combination before you commit. I warn you - you will drop some coin at the bead store if you aren't careful.

They are all rather amazing! I have some ornaments and inks from Twinkling H2O that I really should attempt!

I have coveted the Outlines Ornament Topper stamps for a long time, but there are other stamps you can do the same sort of thing with. I especially like the Holly Berry House medallions- you could make a layered topper with those also.
