Default Newbie Introduction

Hello!

I'm a newbie to Splitcoast, but not to papercrafting. I've been a stamper for about a dozen years now. I'm technically a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, but I really fall into the category of Stampin' Up! buyer.

Like everyone here, I try to fit in as much stamping time as I can while balancing other interests and responsibilities. I hate that there is a trade-off between reading and stamping! There just isn't enough time in the day.

I like to find a balance between creating card art from scratch and finding inspiration from other stampers' creations. I've decided that places like Pinterest are only a time-suck if you don't do anything with the things you pin, but it's a wonderful tool for getting the creative muses playing if you follow through with the ideas.

I'm hoping to post some of my work to the gallery to receive constructive feedback. I'm always looking for new techniques and ways to improve my creations. I've definitely come a long way in the last 12 years, but there is always something new to learn!

Hi!

Welcome to SCS! This is a great place to learn fun new techniques.

I think a lot of us are more buyers.

Hopefully someday it will come out even.

I <3 pinterest and do try use what I pin to make me a better artist.

Hello AnythingCanBe. I do like your optimistic user name. As for being a buyer, I am afraid I get quite carried away at the sight of gorgeous new paper stacks or stamps or embellishments. The convenience of online buying will be my undoing! ;) But it is wonderful to have a good stock on hand.
