We could have it as just "Silhouettes " so it would include anyone with any model of Silhouette
I think the RoboCraft works similar to the Silhouette , correct?
If so that could be included.
My thoughts are as new owners come alone they would have a resource such as we have for Cricut, Spellbinders, Copics, etc
I just don't know how many people own a Silhouette brand electronic cutter which is why I asked if there is enough interest
Or maybe a STICKY thread that includes all electronic cutters that use individual cut files instead of cartridges .

A big YES! I recently joined the forum, and it would sure be easier than searching for "Silhouette" each time. Although I've been lurking so far, I've already learned a lot from you all, so thank you!
I'd like that too. I've been ramping up my usage lately so I always have questions! ;)

I think it's an excellent idea. I know Silhouette has it's own forum on another site, but this one would get more traffic, for sure. I have the original Silhouette and am always looking for tips and tricks.
Oh, YES, great idea Barbara Jay. Soon as mine arrives I know I will have alot of questions. And the links to other info, tips and tricks ar always welcome. Count me in.

There were only 17 people who said they would like a sticky for the Silhouette.
Based on the number of people who are members of Splitcoast, that response to me , seems like too few people to have a sticky.
Perhaps in time if the Silhouette becomes more popular we can ask for a sticky. Until then we can use the regular threads to ask and answer questions . I have found people with Silhouettes are very helpful in answering questions

I too would love a sticky, but until we can get enough interest, can I share this link with anyone who hasn't seen me post it up before? UKScrappers, has loads of members familiar with all the machines,it has lots of tutorials and help, and when you have been a forum member for a month you get access to the cutting files that members post up.

Your link doesn't work because there are 2 "http's", but I found your link on another thread, so was able to go to the site and register. Just wanted to let you know in case others wanted to access the site.

UKScrappers Sorry, redid the link. I didn't notice that, I am doing everything lefthanded at the moment as I have my right arm in a splint, having chipped off a bit of my shoulderblade! On the plus side, I can now use four fingers to type with on my left hand, I started only being able to use one,
Yes, now more than ever, although I have trouble finding info on the stickies, like someone previously said. I really wish we could have "sub" categories within the Silhouette thread. One for files, one for tips, tutorials, techniques, one for problems, ... well, you get the idea.

Hi, Barbara --
I'm finding your thread a month late, but here's a thought... Some of the Sticky threads started out as normal threads before they were made Sticky. You (or someone else) can go ahead and start your own new thread and post to it. Pick a title such as "Silhouette FAQ" or "Silhouette Chatter" and start building it as a resource. Post a link to it in this thread and in any other prominent Silhouette threads so that people know where to find it.
The point is that it doesn't need to be an actual Sticky to function as one. After the new thread reaches critical mass, if it seems appropriate, it can be made a Sticky at a later date.
