Hello everyone...hope you had a wonderful weekend...they go by way to fast any more!!! Are you ready to get inky and a little messy???
I just love the look of embossing on the edges of an image or diecut. It adds a little dimension and in some cases eliminates the need for a background layer. Soooo our challenge this week is to Emboss the Edges!!!
There are several ways to do this:
1. Use a Versamark pen or pad to ink up the edges of your image, designer paper layer, or die cut, add the embossing powder, and heat emboss.
2. Add ink to the edges of your image, diecut, or designer paper layer with a marker or ink pad and emboss with clear embossing powder.
3. If you don't have embossing powder you can add glue to the edges of your image, die cut, or designer paper layer and add glitter.
Oh goodness - I just did the edges of a card for the first time in ages last week. But I can't remember that I've tried this on the edges of a diecut, so I hope to find time for that after work and housework...Thank you, Joan.
ooh. I love the look this creates, sadly it doesn't show up well on my scan. I hope you can see what I did, not as elabourate as some beautiful cards I've seen on here...but I'm just getting into the more advanced techniques

I'm late, but here is my card. I couldn't get the photo to show everything well, but the bg is embossed as well as the edges of the rose panel. Thank you for the inspiration!

I combined this challenge with the color challenge. I, of course, got lots of inspiration from the galleries of both challengs. (just in case you see similarities) :-)
I tried the Glitter Embossing technique on the snowflake, but I don't have a brayer, so it didn't work. I adjusted and added the Emboss the edges.
