Creative Medium by Imagine Crafts

Has anyone here used the creative medium yet. I saw a metal sheet that has a picture transferred to it using this product. I purchased the product for cardmaking purposes but now, need tolearn exactly how to use it.

Would appreciate any input I can get. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure this is just a brand name for Gel Medium, which you can use for transfers. There's two ways, one you need to spread some medium on your surface and the image (photo and laser copies work best) and brayer the back of the copy while it's wet to transfer the ink. The other way is to apply the medium to the surface, place the copy down on top, apply medium to the back of the copy, let dry then apply water and rub off the paper, leaving the image behind. Also try doing a google search for gel medium techniques for other ideas.

I've been waiting for my "log in" to be fully approved to be able to answer your question about Creative Medium with a project sheets.

Creative Medium can be used for photo transfers, with the main difference between it and Gel Medium from Golden being that it will actually transfer dark colors like black which the Gel Medium doesn't always do. You can use Creative Medium as a decoupage medium and as a sealant on projects, and it doesn't get tacky like Modge Podge sometimes does. And like Gel Medium, you can build it up to create faux encaustic effects. Creative Medium is available in 3 different finishes- Original (clear), Vintage (sepia) and Shimmer (gold sparkle).

Thank you, ArtNewWave for responding to my query and also to that link. I did try to transfer a picture to a metal sheet I had and it didn't work. I will try it again when less busy. It sounds simple so I'm not giving up on this. I just didn't do it right the first time or use enough gel....
