Default TLC403 ~ Folded Christmas Tree ~ (11/12/12)

TLC403 ~ Folded Christmas Tree ~ (11/12/12)

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
Sending love and prayers to those still struggling from Hurricane Sandy and Athena and also THANKS to all our Veterans!

I am so excited about the Holiday Blitz Tutorials that are being shared each day in the Resources section. There are SO many fun ones that we will probably be doing a lot of them in my Technique Challenges up to the holidays!

The challenge I chose for today is so much fun -- it looked so hard when I saw Beate's sample and even when I glanced at her amazing tutorial , but it is SO EASY! You have to try these. It took like two minutes to make the tree.

So today's challenge is FOLDED CHRISTMAS TREE.

My sample: Bright and Beautiful Christmas

Not ready for Christmas or don't want to make a holiday or winter card?
How about a tree for fall - or another season?
My second sample: You're A Hoot

TLC403 Gallery Submissions

Keyword: TLC403 (no spaces)
Please upload your cards to this gallery, rather than your Member Gallery:
Technique Spotlight --> Holiday Blitz Gallery --> Folded Christmas Tree Cards & More

Have fun with this! I know I will be making a lot of these trees: Cards, place cards for Christmas dinner, tags for gifts, lots of stuff!

Thanks for the inspiration, Beate!

, I was hoping that maybe it would be something from the Holiday Blitz for the TLC. I'll be along whenever I get the housework and shopping done. Thanks, Judy.

Judy, you are so correct.....cute and EASY! Part of the "easy" might be Beate's excellent instructions. : ) Love the look of the trees and the chance to use them in a variety of styles. I went sort of elegant. Thanks, Judy & Beate!

This challenge was so fun! These trees are fun and easy. Beate, thanks for posting the tutorial. I watched it twice. I didn't have a large circle punch or nestiblity, so I used a cd, traced around it, and cut it out.

Here's my Merry Christmas Tree . Enjoy.

I created a Tri-Shutter card (my first one!) and the back panel features one of these adorable trees! Once I figured out the last fold (which I had to be tired because I watched the video 4 times) ... I was fine - LOL! Thanks for looking
