Silhouette cut file question

I don't have an electronic cutter YET.
When I decrease or increase digi paper it makes the actual pattern larger or smaller

Just for discussion if you have a cut file for a scalloped border and increase or decrease it does it make the scallops ( or design) larger or smaller ? Or can you just shorten or lengthen the length/width of the border and maintain the size scallops you want to use?
Does my question make sense ?

The pattern will get larger if you increase the size, but you can repeat the pattern at the size you want. You would have to do some editing to remove the cut lines in the middle of your design, but it is possible (and pretty easy to do). I do this with border designs a lot.

Thanks! I am thinking a Silhouette could replace a lot of my border punches
They are heavy and take up a lot of storage space. I looked at the Silhouette store and they have a lot of border cut files.
Can you tell I am talking myself into a Silhouette LOL

When you do get your Silhouette I would highly recommend that you take Part 2 of "A Cut Above" at Online Card Classes. I learned SO much about my Silhouette in this class. Part 2 is only $18... not a bad price IMO.

Another online resource for all your questions about the Silhouette is UKSCRAPPERS . The link will take you to the Silhouette/Robo/Cameo forum. The people on there know pretty much all there is to know about the machine, it is full of tutorials, and after you have been a member for a month, you have access to the design library of cutting files people have posted, for free.

I have a Silhouette and I still can't bring myself to part with all my border punches... I'm a hoarder though I guess
