Do you ever get those "I have to have this NOW or my life will not be complete" moments? Yesterday I decided I HAD TO HAVE a wood-grain embossing folder. I saw online that Hobby Lobby has one, so I went after dinner (HL is just 3 miles from my house). I didn't find one and thought "that's it, I will hunt this down from every website or store", then saw it on the bottom peg. And I had a 40% coupon so I paid less than $4.
It's still in the package on my craft desk. I might not use if for months. But I HAD to have it last night.
I WANTED the Martha Stewart Gifts border punch. Went to 4-5 stores looking for it-not to be found. Went online and searched for the lowest price and lowest shipping charge and it's on it's way.
By the way, I also have the HL Woodgrain EF. I have another but like the size of the grain. My other one is a little too bold (IMHO) to use on cards.
Location: I live in North Texas, but my heart remains in New Mexico.

Me too!!!! You are not alone!!!
In fact, I am fighting the "need" for the wood grain EF right now! I'm finished with Fall cards and have decided to skip Thanksgiving cards this year, so I don't really need it until next year. Of course, sometimes when I wait until later, I can't find it later. The "Chtistmas Cheer" Cricut is an example of that. I awaited and now that I've decided I really want it,it is retired and expensive on eBay. Kicking myself!!!

Raising my hand also, my need right now is a silhouette - haven't bought it yet...mainly due to the price. The ATG was one of those gotta have it now - did get it with coupon but had to go to three stores before I finally got it.

I love my watercolor pencils and I use them, but I saw a card somewhere where the person just swore by watercolor CRAYONS. I decided that I couldn't wait one day to try them.. Like the OP, I immediately drove to the nearest Michael's (30 minutes) but had NO coupon. I paid too much for them and when I got home and tried them, I hated them. I haven't even felt like practicing with them to try and improve and I continue to use the pencils. Bad!
Chocolate! Oh wait, we're talking about stamping? Well, chocolate still. And while I'm eating my chocolate, I then fixate on the next new must-have on my list! Recently it was an ATG (which I bought last weekend) and now it's a guillotine paper cutter. My birthday is coming up and if DH hasn't bought it for me, I will likely order it the next day!!

I adore watercolor crayons! Once you get used to them, they are just amazing.
I know!! Everyone but me has great luck with them. I really believe if I practice, they will work out, but change is hard! Plus, I need to justify the investment.
I want a KNK Maxx machine - wahhhhhhhhh!!!!! I think this is approx. $960.00-$1200.00 depending on machine width so I'm just gonna hafta wait. They now have a wireless version so you don't have the USB cables.....be still my heart LOL

K - serious domino effect on this particular issue... I saw a tutorial for a really cute gift made with one of the Sizzix ScoreBoards dies, so I needed that die RIGHT NOW! I bought it, realized that I needed the extended cutting pads for it so, of course, I needed those RIGHT NOW! I got everything home and went to try it out - 1/2" too wide for my Cuttlebug - had to buy the Big Shot RIGHT NOW!!! Still haven't used the die, and that was about a year ago....*sigh*....... At least I've used the Big Shot quite a bit!
Every die there....everywhere...and I am still getting them. The had thing is....they keep making new ones...what is the matter with all these die companies...I just cannot catch up...lol Oh...and the Silhouette Cameo...have it love it. Coming soon is the Silhouette Portrait. Will it ever end.
blessings.
