I found a wonderful tip on You Tube when using Diamond Glaze or Glossy Accents.
I have ruined a couple of my good paint brushes by forgetting to clean them after using the glaze.
Just take an old nail polish bottle, clean it THOROUGHLY, rinsing it with nail polish remover and let it dry. Pour your DG or GA into the bottle, and you have a brush always ready. Works like a charm!

Duh. I've been trying to spread it out using the tip of the bottle and wondering why it was so hard to get a smooth coat. Because the directions on the bottle just say squeeze until the product comes out of the tip. No use of a brush is mentioned.
So, a brush. That does make sense.

I've tried this tip and I never could get the bottle or the brush clean enough. And I just about passed out from the polish remover fumes. LOL
If you want to save yourself the trouble of attempting this trick check out:
BTW, I don't use this bottle. What I do is pour a small amount of glossy accents onto a piece of scrap cardstock and apply it with a paper stump. Let the stump dry and then sand the glued tip off and I have a nice sharp point again for the next use. I get a smooth and even application each and every time using the stump and one stump will last for a long time, and stumps are cheap to buy.
That's a very nice wide neck polish bottle, but the shipping is more than 3 times the cost of the bottle itself. Yowza.
I'm going to try the stump tip. Or I'll use a brush and be sure to clean it. I'm just happy to be shown what a dolt I've been, trying to apply it right from the tip of the bottle.

You'll find out that you don't have to sand the paper stump tip very often. I agree, the shipping on that bottle makes the cost of it a little high, but if you try to empty out a nail polish bottle and that brush..and if you really want to use a bottle w/brush the amazon bottle with shipping cost is worth every single penny you'd spend on it.
Well, that's what I kept telling myself, but since I know I can convince myself of anything, I ignored me.
I guess it for a one-time purchase it would be worth it. Worth thinking about.

I've never been able to get a nice, smooth layer using the tip. I love using the tip to make raised "dots" over stamped dots (the poor woman's bling!), but I'd given up on getting anything coated with a smooth layer.
