Maybe I'm behind the times, but the inkyantics honeypop honeycomb papers and stamps are new to me. I've been having fun with them. I've been finding stamps in my own stash that will work with this paper, so I'm able to revisit stamps that I already have, and use them in this new (to me) way.
Whats got me excited about crafting again is my cutting machine. I haven't wanted to do anything with my stuff for a long time and just started playing with different die cuts and now I want to design stuff all the time. I've only made a few scrapbook pages and cards in the last 3 months, but its a start...
I love making cards, and make them pretty steadily throughout the year.
But I really love the Christmas season, and get very excited about my Christmas projects. I have a huge extended family and always make lots of handmade gifts.
This year I'm making personalized note card sets with matching lined envies for all the gals. Here is a sample:

I am excited about acrylic painting, alcohol inks & mica powders. I have been working with those items a lot. I am excited about designing some jewelry. I have been doing a lot of collages too.
I get super excited and motivated every time I realize that I'm ready for a new "educational" stage of my card making. For example, glitter, realizing it was time to move on to adding another dimension to some of my cards (especially for my grand-daughter) and most particularly so for my first Christmas making my own greeting cards. I'm self taught and want to research and learn all I can before I take the leap and make the purchase, so I dived right in by watching glitter tutorials, reading the forum here and checking out all the brands and types. Same thing happened with ink, stamps, tools and papers initially, then punches and dies and the Big Shot. Now it's time to learn to color, so I'm on a Copic learning kick before I make those pricey marker purchases.
I'm very excited about my new distressed markers!! I used to think painting my images was the most boring part of making cards, but after I received those markers, I love them! I might even take a few days off from work do paint cards (or not)...!!
I am excited about creating CAS cards. I have been creating cards with lots of layers for years and just recently found my joy in making CAS. They are so much fun!
Mary Rose, it's good to hear that you want to craft again!
I got some Beeswax stamps last week - new company to me and for the first time in ages I actually stamped them all right away and played with colouring media with no project in mind just for the fun of playing.
Technique Tuesday's Monsters Ink set just arrived with today's mail. I have six little boys to make cards for (aged between 3 and 7) and felt I was running out of stamps for them, I'm hoping this set will cure me of that for a while!
Like Beate I'm enjoying the CAS trend. I've never been good at layering so my cards often tend towards CAS anyway but it's great to see so many people enjoying it too!
I'm excited about making the leap for "dabbler" to "stamper." I can't wait to go shopping and start checking things off my quiclkly expanding wishlist. I'm sure my next stop is "total stampaholic." :P
I am falling in love again with my Distress Inks, Stains, and Markers. I didn't use them for quite a while and I am having fun playing with them and trying new techniques!
HYCCT!! These challenges get me excited! I swear, doing the challenges make me think in a whole different way - LOVE them. I did the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges this year for the first time and that was awesome also.
I must get more disciplined about doing some challenges during the year ....
I'm excited about my co-workers - I just found out that they really like my ultra-simple, one-layered, extremely clean and simple cards. I can whip those out in a jiffy! It's like uh, uh.... JUNK FOOD stamping!! (versus the banquet stamping, which involves the multi-layered, fussy-cutting, very detailed cards, which are my favourite to make. But those take me four hours or two days each) I can whip these super-easy cards out in 10 minutes! (Colouring still takes me time).
So it's exciting to go through ALL my extremely old stamps and make new cards with them!

Love this - funny! And, not only that, I think you hit the nail on the head re: your co-workers. If someone enjoys your work - what better motivator!?!?!
As for me, I still get excited to see the new dies when they come out. I know, that's not new, but it still floats my boat.
I am excited about sponging and stippling. LOL. I have many colours of Distress inks and I have just ordered a set of daubers from SU. I am in love with cards by Kathy Racoosin and Jill Foster and I have been playing with my lone stipple brush to add colour to the edges of my cards lately. I have been stamping for 15 years and this is one technique that has never interested me before but now I can't get enough!
:-) Barbara
I am super excited about the new Fishtail Layers Stax dies by MFT! I have been wishing and wishing for a layers set ever since they came out with the original set! Mine is on the way to me!
