HYCCT1202 - Show Off Your Cupcakes! Chatter Thread
Challenge Title: Show Off Your Cupcakes!
Hostess: LuvLee (Lee)
Keyword: HYCCT1202
Date: Tuesday, October 2, 2012
There are so many euphemisms used to describe the "girls"..... "tatas"..... "headlights"..... but when I heard "cupcakes" I have to admit I thought that was cute! And I've also seen many Breast Cancer fundraisers selling the cutest cupcakes for the cause!!!!!
So on that note......this challenge is to make a pretty wrapping for a cupcake!!! Whether it's a cupcake wrapper/template or a 3D box or something else....show me what you've got using cupcake images, dp, ribbon, embellies, etc. Now since it just might be a bit tricky to mail these cupcake wrappings....included in the challenge is to make a matching tag or notecard and that is what will be sent to MD Anderson!!!! Make sure you use cupcakes as your theme.....and no stressin'!!!! If you absolutely aren't able to make an actual wrapper/box.....just show off the little tag or notecard!!!
I used my Silhouette Cameo to make this cupcake box and then made a tag and a little 3x3 notecard for a matching set. ((the cupcake sadly did not survive more than 5 minutes after the photos were taken!))
Here are some links to some free Cupcake Templates I also found online that you might find fun:
Now as a little extra incentive to play along with my unique challenge....I have a prize!! While shopping with Lydia....yes!!! I got to visit Lydia and we had a BLAST!!! I found this adorable tiny little breast cancer awareness denim purse and just had to buy it!! So I will pick my favorite entry and that stamper will win this little prezzie!!!!

A special thank you to my fellow hostesses for their beautiful samples.....Sabrina, Patty and Tammie!!!
Hmmm, I never make cupcakes, but the template looks easy enough to use. I'll have to give this some thought and come back to it this afternoon. By then there will be plenty of gallery photos to inspire me. :-)
Ohhhhh if only I'd seen this on Saturday! I made tie dye cupcakes with my niece. The cupcakes were gone within a matter of hours. LOL! Sooo while I may not have a "model" for the wrapper, I'll see what I can come up with. Fun challenge!
what a coincidence...or do you read minds?.......crash..bang...just me getting my mind shield up......lol......I just baked 4 dozen carrot cupcakes last night for church bazaar/bake sale....haha....will have to take a pic of one after frosted for my model.....what a fun challenge....will be back to play after mowing done....
MMMM CUPCAKES! HA! I never have a problem consuming the cupcakes...just expending the calories from consuming too many. Good thing I'm training for a half marathon.
If I actually make a "model" cupcake, would you please just act like it isn't sunken-in and lopsided?
My neighborhood participates in National Night Out. (tonight...Oct.2). For our gathering we are supposed to bring a dessert. I was just thinking "hummmm? What dessert should I make?" answer: Sunken-in lopsided cupcakes! LOL! At least this is the month of Halloween...I could act like I meant to make them that way. Yeah! That's it!
Update: Here is my Cupcake Set. BTW I did end up buying the cupcake.
Wow - some cute posts - don't know that I have ever been asked to make a cupcake holder, for sure in my house a cupcake doesn't last long enough to need one. I jumped in and tried my hand anyways....the cupcake sure tasted good ;) Here's my post

I was with Lydia in Austin at a cupcake place....soooo yummy!!!! All these cupcake creations are making me want to run out and get a cupcake...although places are limited on my mountain!
Today was one of my work days, so I was very late in doing this challenge. And I'm afraid commenting is going to have to wait until later in the week because I brought home some work (ugh!). Here's my project --

Well I have my idea sketched out, and I started on some doo-dads for it, but it's been a long work day and I've gotta get to bed. Hopefully I can finish this tomorrow. I can't let myself get too far behind in the challenges or I'll never catch up! :-)
