If you use Tim Holtz unmounted storage folders

Do you put your stamps in there on thier own, or are they on some sort of "sheet" so you can slide them out? I know some stamps come on a sheet, but I've unmounted a bunch and used tack it over and over.

Can I use laminating sheets? Overhead transparencies? What can I put them on so they are more easily accessible and not just stuck inside the pouch?

I use these with laminated stamp boards I get from Gina K. They are the sheets designed to go in her storage binders, But I prefer to use them in my Tom Holtz folders and then file my sets alphabetically in my lateral file drawer. They come in a set of 4 for $2.95.

I do put them on a sheet. As long as it isn't acetate it should be fine. Most laminating pouches work (laminate some cheap cardstock for stability). I use those old photo pages that have a sticky clear sheet. I get them at Target, 25/$5 and put index sheets inside where the photos go, and the clear or cling mount stamps cling well to the outside. They do have to be cut down to size.

Thanks so much for your responses! I guess I'm just not sure what is acetate and what is not. I'm pretty sure the laminating pouches are not, but not so sure about the overhead transparencies. My stamps won't have an index sheet, so I was looking to have something clear. I think I'll go with plain laminated sheets - thanks!!

I don't use the Tim Holtz things for storage, just 8.5x11" storage sheets I made myself, slipped into page protectors. But I wanted to comment on the overhead projector sheets that someone asked about. I began using overhead projector sheets as my "cling" sheets about 5 yrs ago (they are attached with ATG adhesive to cardstock or chipboard backing). I have stored all of my stamps on the sheets including clear acrylic, clear photopolymer, and red rubber (my rubber stamps are mounted various ways ranging from no foam + 2-way adhesive, to mounted on EZMount or Stamper's Best cling foam). None of my stamps have had any issues at all after 5 years of storage. Because of testing this myself, I do not believe that overhead projector film is harmful for clear or red rubber stamp storage or my stamps would have had issues long ago.
