Thanks Lydia! Yes, I bought one in my size and for the extra one that I cut up, I bought XXL so I could get the most amount of the same fabric at the same price as the smaller t-shirt.
Yes, I want to buy more shirts and put these flowers on everything now! I wore my new tee on Saturday to a baby shower but I haven't washed it yet. Hoping it survives the washing machine...Will wash it on the gentle cycle...

I hope it makes it okay, too. I made my granddaughters some little skirts from recycled T-shirts, and put a ruffle around the bottom made from contrasting T shirt material. They washed pretty well, but the ruffles did "scrunch" up a bit. Still looked very cute though. So be prepared that your flowers might be a little smaller after washing. I also put mine in the dryer, but maybe if you hang to dry it would work better.
My daughter has 7 kids, 2 boys, and 5 girls, so anything I make for them has to be able to survive the dryer. If she hung things to dry for all of them, she wouldn't be able to walk around in her house, lol.

Thank you for the compliments everyone! I think I am going to embellish another item--a onesie for church friends who just found out they are having a girl!
Very cute t-shirt!
Maybe if the t-shirts are washed before creating neat things out of them there won't be much of a change in the general appearance of the embellishments. Just a thought

Aspire to be a better person than you were yesterday
Because someone on SCS asked if I sewed or glued the flowers, I thought I would post my answer here as well:
Linda,
I didn't use glue to make the flowers but instead just sewed them together by hand. I think sewing the flowers by hand is better because you can manipulate the flower petals better. You can do it if I can do it--i am far from a skilled seamstress! There are a lot of tutorials in the blog sphere, but I like this one here:
I embellished a onesie yesterday with pink flowers. I used leftover fabric from my embellished t-shirt. Gave it as a baby gift today and the mama loved it. Photo is in my SCS gallery. Details and photos are on my blog...
