What is CAS?
CAS is an acronym for Clean and Simple.
It's all about the design.
* not the technique
* not the tools
* not the embellishments
It's all about the design.
* Uncluttered
* lots of white or open space
* one main focal point
It's all about the design.

~~~CAS WEEKLY CHALLENGE~~~
September 10 CAS187 Technique COLOR BLOCKING
There are many different ideas about what COLOR BLOCKING means....I just literally think it is "blocks" of color....any color! Go with whatever you think it is...Looking forward to seeing everyone's interpretations!
KEYWORD: CAS187
It's also great to add the keyword: CAS so that you're in two galleries.
Leave some love for our BRAND NEW FALL design team! Here are some amazing samples to help you get started:
Uploading: Remember the keyword is without spaces. Use a comma between keywords with a space after each comma.
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!
First of all -- congratulations to the new design team members and guest designers! I look forward to seeing all your beautiful cards this fall and winter!
I decided to ignore the laundry and play in this challenge today. Here is my colorblocked card:
I miss you guys! 6 weeks since I stopped by here or made a card and I'm suffering serious withdrawal symptoms! DH has been very ill and is in his 5th week in hospital with no sign of him being able to come home anytime soon. I drive an hour each way every day to be with him (read, knit and doze!) and am very tired. He's had 2 surgeries, touch-and-go complications with kidneys and heart problems after septic shock set in, ICU and on a respirator, 14 units of blood transfused and now a wound that just won't close. (Infected artificial hip joint that's been removed but can't be replaced until the infection has gone.) He's on IV antibiotics 24/7 and is very weak and disheartened. It's tough. Anyway, I wanted to let you know that I've stopped by and seen all the wonderful CAS cards that you've been making with the challenges over the past few weeks, and I can't wait to get back to my craft desk when DH finally gets to come home.
