*MD* 09/29/2012 SBS Laurel, Maryland - Maryland City VFD Hall
Hello Stampers. The kids are back in school and it is time for another Shoe Box Swap here at the fire hall in Laurel, MD.
The shoebox swap will be on Saturday, September 29, 2012, from 9:00am until 5:00pm, at The Maryland City Volunteer Fire Department Hall, 3498 Fort Meade Road, Laurel, MD 20724. Doors will not open till 8:30am to allow me to finish setting up. There is no theme for this swap but it is not too early to think about cards for fall, winter, Christmas, Hanukah, Halloween, Veterans Day, New Years, etc We will be using only Stampin Up! stamp sets, inks, paper, etc.
There will be room for 26 stampers (over 18 years of age please) to attend and each stamper will bring a shoebox swap for 25 people to make and something to share for lunch. There is a $10 non-refundable charge per person for hall rental and will need to be sent to me at least 10 days prior to the swap to secure your spot (by September 19th). Everyone who signs up must have a Splitcoaststamper ID. After you sign up I will send you a reply with the registration form included. Please complete a registration form and return it to me along with your swap fee. The information collected is for my use if I have to contact you regarding any changes in the swap.
All cards are to be full cards. Please bring enough supplies for everyone to make your card including all cardstock, stamps, inks, embellishments, tools, etc., along with your own adhesives and basic tools (like scissors, bone folder, etc) to use on all the projects we make. Please make sure all of your supplies are labeled with either your name or initials, so we all go home with the stuff we brought. Each person is to provide a sample of your card for reference in your box along with typed instructions telling how to make your card. Please also separate your supplies in to individual baggies or envelopes containing everything each person needs to do your card. This really helps make the swap go much smoother. PLEASE use only Stampin Up! stamps, cardstock and inks. Stampin Up! Paper and ink colors can either be current or retired.
Everyone is asked to please bring something to share for lunch. When you sign up for the swap, please post what youll bring for lunch. I will have access to the kitchen for ice and refrigerator use but not the stoves, so please do not bring anything to be baked or that needs to be heated up. Crock pots are always welcome.
There will be several door prizes throughout the day.
I will be a FREE table where you can bring in anything you have that is stamping or scrapbooking related that you dont want any more and you are willing to give away to a good home, like used sheet of stickers, cardstock or page kit leftovers that you dont need/want any more. You know one stampers trash is another stampers treasure LOL.
So your list of stuff to bring is: your shoebox swap (any theme), something to share for lunch, your basic tools (scissors, adhesive, bone folder, etc) and items you wish to sell.
I look forward to seeing you there and having another great day of stamping.
Kathy

I really want to come again but can I be a hold a spot until my daughter decides on the date for my grandchild's christening? It revolves around when a service member can be there. But I have just missed getting on the list before
