Default NY * Central New York Stamps Again 11/3/12 -- CLOSED

CNY Stampers Get Together
Saturday, November 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
First United Church of East Syracuse, 823 Franklin Park Drive, East Syracuse, NY

Do join us at our next Central New York Stampin' Get Together -- a full day of stamping fun!

Cost – $25.00 per person ($27 via PayPal). Your registration must be paid no later than 5 pm on September 30 or be an early bird (September 22 deadline) and earn an extra door prize ticket. Mail your registration form and payment to me (info is in the registration form). There are no refunds, but you may offer your spot to someone else. Here’s what’s planned.

Mandatory Shoebox (Table) Project – There will be table projects in the morning and the afternoon, so bring your idea and all the supplies (precut but not prestamped or prepunched) needed for making your project with your tablemates in the morning; another group will make your same card in the afternoon. Please use quality products. When our final count is in, you will know the table sizes and how many will be needed. You will need to bring four extra completed shoebox projects (which includes door prizes, hostess thank you, and one for your table so that everyone can follow it for directions). This project will generally be a full card, with layers and embellishment(s). Please provide any special adhesive that's needed. So, just to say it another way: Bring 4 completed projects + make up 20 packets of materials needed to make your project. Extra parts to fix any "oops" should also be provided. Make these something you’d be thrilled to get yourself. Your projects should all be the same.

SPECIAL NOTE: Because you will be switching tables, but your projects staying behind, it will be important that you provide some basic directions for your project unless it is VERY obvious. Please include your name and SCS name as well. Thank you!

Swaps – ALL SWAPS ARE OPTIONAL. You’ll know how many to make when we post the final counts, and you’ll have plenty of notice since the deadline is well in advance of the event. Each swap will include a +1 for a door prize. The hostess and her assistant would also love to receive one of your swaps if you’re so inclined.

Food – Please indicate on the registration sheet the specific food item you will bring to share. Please don’t just say “food” or “whatever you need”. Ideas: breakfast items, lunch items, including salads, desserts and snacks. We love to try your homemade food specialties! Bottled water and coffee will be provided. Please BYO soda.

Make & Take for All – Because of doing shoebox projects in the a.m. and p.m., we will have only one or two large group projects. If you would like to provide one, please let me know your idea.

“Garage Sale” – Bring your stamps and stamping supplies to sell or trade. Current Stampin’ Up! items must be offered for trade only; you can sell retired items. Sorry but we can’t be responsible for missing items so bring things at your own risk.

Goodie Bags – for everyone! You will again have the opportunity to pick out your own goodie bag items so send me a long list of your wishes on the back of your registration form. Please include lower cost items in your selections and lots of alternatives, particularly if you are picking from the clearance rack. If you need more guidance here, let me know. Those who don’t send a list will have their goodies selected by me. Wouldn’t you rather pick your own? Goodie bags will be as close in value as I can get them.

Door Prizes– Donations from our own group are most welcome so let me know if you’d like to make a door prize donation and what it is. Our participants are always so generous! We will be awarding the +1’s from all of the swaps as well as the two sets of extras from the shoebox projects as door prizes. We’ll have another 50/50 raffle to support this for next time as well.

Gift Swap – You don’t have to sign up for this one, but if you would like to participate, bring a gift related to our stamping passion. Everyone who brings a gift to swap will also leave with one. Value on these should be in the $5-10 range, and stamped projects are always appreciated! If it’s something you’d like to take home, it’s probably perfect! Be sure to include your name somewhere inside so the lucky winner knows who to thank. Wrap it up prettily to encourage “stealing”. REMEMBER: Stamping-related!!!

Other – Please bring your own labeled items for your personal stamping needs, including your favorite adhesive. These are the items you just can’t stamp without, like: bone folder, paper cutter/scorer, scissors, straight edge, stamp cleaner and whatever else you can't stamp without! Did I say adhesive????? Adhesive! You will likely need lots of it.

Make and wear a nametag with your name and your SCS name so that we know you on sight. There will be a nametag contest so keep that in mind when you’re creating yours.

Don't forget your camera!

REMEMBER: Complete the registration form and forward with your $25 payment ($27 via PayPal) by 5 pm on September 30 or be an early bird and get yours in by September 22 for a chance at an extra door prize. All funds collected will be spent on the event. Your registration is complete when your payment is received. If you have any questions, please ask! Looking forward to seeing you in November.
