Here is my first card for July! Wheee! An anniversary card. I am ahead of it. I combined mshoener's paper flower challenge with a vsn challenge to make VSN redo. Now, I am thinking "handmade flower" I am thinking "punched" doesn't work. Let me know and I will take this one out of the gallery. I already have one done for that challenge.

One more birthday card for July....I used a June challenge...to make a card for a male and feature his occupation or hobby. At present, my son-in-law's full time job is renovating the old house they are living in, so I thought tools would be appropriate. My family is getting ready to celebrate the 4th of July with all the trimmings, so of course my challenge for you is going to be inspired by Independence Day traditions!!! Since we are making ALL-occasion cards, lets give it a little twist that will make it work for any holiday.
Instead of a color challenge (that's what you were expecting, right?), lets do STARS or STRIPES on our cards. No need to limit yourself to red, white, and blue!
As a bonus challenge, if you make an extra card or two, please consider sharing them with Operation Write Home to send to our Armed Forceswhat a great way to say thank you to our men and women who are missing their families.
Here's my first card for July. I'm still using up the OSW pieces I cut out a few months ago. The next one I make will be a birthday card for my BIL who was born July 3. I'll use Jane's challenge for that one.

Sharon, where's the link to this card? Or did you take it out? I may have seen and commented on it, but I'm not sure.
Thank you, Sharon, I would have not liked missing that card.
Here's my card for AOCC12M. The stars and stripes digi paper is from Doodle Pantry. The colors on Woody don't match but couldn't resist using him on this card.
I needed to make a thank you card for friends who hosted a Canada Day barbecue yesterday. I also wanted to honour Featured Stamper, Loll Thompson, and ended up doing a very close CASE of one of her cards. Here's what I made:
Wow - you gals are way ahead of me for July already. I sort of gave up on uploading June cards and am starting fresh for July. I'm sure I'll be able to make some with stars and/or stripes for these:
- 10 cards for my S.S. class (2 done and ready to be uploaded)
- Only 5 birthday cards - 3 of them already sent (July 1, 3, 5) from my stash, so no new photos.
- 1 anniversary card
- My July CCC12 Christmas cards.
I've been using up a lot of sympathy cards lately, and a dear man who has been fighting cancer for years has just been put on hospice. I made 3 sympathy cards to have on hand.
A couple of cards for July, one a thank you for my friend Ali for bringing me some cute papers and decouplage kit, I just had to use them.Tthe second card was a quick belated anniversary card for friends from football who managed to keep it a secret until after the event.
I need to make sympathy cards again. Some of them will be for my boss to keep on hand. DH's nephew had a friend who was killed in a car accident in the early hours of the 4th. He was only 18 and just graduated from high school in May.
July is getting a slow start because of the holiday, but I did finish a few cards to upload. I even made some that qualify for the current challenge to use stars and/or stripes.

Oh, geez, Debbie. That's just heartbreaking...his poor family. What a dreadful loss.
How tragic Debbie. Just when he had finished all those years of work in school and preparing for a bright future. It is hard to understand the "why" of these things.
Val, I love your card. I'm kind of partial to wolves. I have some scenic stamps I haven't even tried to play with yet. I think it's time to get them inked up. It's a nice dedication.
Yes, do ink up your scenic stamps. I have just gone crazy with scenic stamping although I'm learning slowly and only have minimal supplies. It's very addictive and like opening a door to a closet and discovering a huge ballroom! It opened a whole new field of art for me.
I thought I would have to spend a lot of $$ to get started, but I get a thrill whenever I find an old stamp that can be used in creating scenes. So far (ha!), I've only spent about $20 on new scenic stamps.
My boss ran out of her stash of sympathy cards so I'm working on making more for her. I made three of this one. I need to make at least three more in more feminine colors. I am determined to use up the designer papers I have before buying more. I still have a birthday card to make that should have been in the mail already since his birthday is Thursday, 2 birthday cards to make before the end of next week, one card for the week after that, then I need to start on the cards for August which are the first couple weeks of the month. So many cards to make and so little time. I miss my 3-day weekends.
I seem to be getting so many cards done, Ive even had four unexpected ones too.
This card was a special for my friend, took me a couple of weeks to complete it but she was over the moon when she saw it so it was worth all the effort.Every page is decorated differently.
I did this as a congratulations card for a 12 year old niece - I used a star on it so it fits the challenge that Jane posted for the first half of July:
I've built up a stash of birthday cards from making duplicates and I'll be using a few of those for this month's birthdays. But here's a new card for an artsy friend.
I'm back to posting for July. My aunt turns 80 on Thursday and I have been putting off making her card. This was quick and easy to do. I don't know if this qualifies for the July 15 challenge. I did use some traditional Christmas colors. At first I didn't think this would be good for an 80-year-old, but why not? Young at heart. Now to make DH's card before Friday. I hope my Cinch gets here soon so I can work more on the guest book. Of course, it hasn't had time to get here yet. I am so impatient.
Susan, I love the card and the story behind it. It made me sad. My DD has a blck lab who is only a year older than my oldest granddaughter. They were both born in September. Kaiser will be 11 this year. It is going to be a sad day when he leaves them.
I thought I had my July cards all finished but my son and his girlfriend moved in together saturday so I thought I would make a card for them to welcome Magdalena to the family.
Here is a birthday card I need for the 28th! Just getting it done under the wire. I Cased Ina's card for the Queen For the Day challenge. Here is my card for Ina
