Default Need help with signature on pictures

I have noticed that most of the pictures in the gallery have a little signature at the bottom of the picture. I would like to learn how to do that, but have no idea how. Can anyone help me with that? Thanks so much in advance for any help.

It's called a "watermark", and you'll find loads of helpful suggestions on these threads:

Many people use the feature in Picasa - I don't know what editing package you use.
I use GIMP, and love that I can use brushes to dress it up a bit .

I use in Photoshop and add it as a layer.

I use my Kodak easyshare software. I'm not sure what you have, but in my easyshare software there is an 'add text' button at the top and I just click on that and insert my info. I tried gimp, but I just couldn't figure it out. I'm not really good at computer stuff.

I'd like to learn how to make the pretty watermarks I see. My easyshare doesn't do that.

I have read that the low tech way to do it is to print out your info on a piece of acetate and lay it on top of your card.
