TLC384 ~ Let the Sunburst Shine ~ (7/2/12)
Hello everyone....it's me again with another fun technique!! I have been seeing sunbursts all over the internet....they are so trendy and easy to make!! Soooo let's get sunny with a few rays on our creations ~~ y ou can use up your paper scraps and use any design you want....how fun is that !!!
To make the sunburst you:
1. Pick out your papers...you can use patterned paper or cardstock. You can also stamp or emboss it for a little texture.
2. Cut the strips at an angle, wider at one end and thinner or to a point at the other end.
3. Adhere the rays to the background cardstock or patterned paper...let the strips hang off the edge of the paper and then trim the edges when the you are finished with your design. You can add a sun or use a stamp as the center image. I have seen the rays used as a flash for a camera and also as a background for a beach scene. I also saw the cutest card using white rays over a white sky with white snowflakes for a winter scene.
4 You can even use sun ray dies if you have them
5. Be creative and have fun!!!

It's been ages since I made a sunburst and Lord knows I could do with any sort of sunshine just now, so I'm going to to my darnedest to find time for this challenge after work - thank you, Joan.

Cool! I have seen these sunbursts all over too, but thought they would be really hard to make. I'd like to try this!

I'm not very happy with my card today - the sunburst didn't come out right and the whole card just needs something, but here it is anyway -

I first made one using several paper scraps and hated it. Decided to use only two and I think it worked great. So now I have two bases and here is the first one.

This might be too late and I may have done this wrong as I have never participated in an SCS challenge. At any rate, here is my link:

I added the keyword TLC384 but it may be waiting for approval from the moderator. Let me know if I need to fix anything.
Thanks and good luck everyone.

My Late Submission
It's only a week late.
my attempt at a sunburst
I had fun with this technique and could see myself using it again. I also had fun with my first attempt at tea bag folding to make the embellishment.
