Scrappin' Challenge 2012

Can you believe this is our 4th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009, 2010 & 2011 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2012! Let's keep scrappin'.

It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2012! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...

What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!

Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person will post what their scrapbook page goal is for February. We will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. Along with the scrapbook page goal for this month, if you'd like to play along with the "Using Stash Crew" decide what your scrapping budget will be for that month.

*In this thread, we'll track how we do for the month. Look HERE to share and track your Annual Goals. *

You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!

The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and if you want to play along w/ saving --- save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund!

SCS 52 Week Thursday Goal Challenge!

I'm going to stick with 15 this month. I have a funny feeling I will not meet my yearly goal as I am starting to get scrapped out for some reason.

I only did 6 pages in May for a total of 41 for 2012. I don't think I even set a goal last month! So I set my goal for 9 this month to be on target for my 100 for the year.
I am back home now, and hope to get down to my craft room and catch up on the challenges soon. I am behind on cards too.

I can appreciate this ... I probably won't get to scrap much until the end of the month and I want to enjoy it versus just get pages done to get pages done. Now that my boys are off to college I'll have less daily photo moments and I think I feel less pressure to stay current? I will be going back to get some older albums completed soon.

I'm going to stay at 4. DGS finishes up school Tuesday and starts summer camp on Wednesday. DH is preparing to go to Japan and Singapore at the end of the month and that means I will be responsible for all household chores (like mowing the yard which I think I've only ever done 2 or 3 times...ever) and packing lunches for both myself and DGS (which DH does every morning...he's SO sweet!). And to top it all off, the day he comes back from Japan is the day we start our vacation in Williamsburg! So, I'll have to be packing and getting that all ready before I pick him up from the airport since we'll go right from the airport to Williamsburg. I bet after 2 weeks he'll be glad to get home to sleep in his own bed! I've been trying to give him instructions on what to take pics of this time while he's overseas since he didn't do a very good job the last time he had this opportunity. But he informed me he wasn't a tourist like me...What? He's in Japan..of course he'll be a "tourist" I've got a few weeks to work on him yet and give him lessons on using his camera

I'm here for now. I had DGS chopping carrots, celery and hard boiled eggs for macaroni salad for a boy scout picnic tomorrow. It's been storming so I made him turn off the computer and he got bored pretty quickly. My first time letting him use a "sharp" knife for cutting. I did take pictures though and no accidents..yea! I even found the pampered chef chopper to make everything uniform and small. He LOVED it! But of course he won't actually eat the macaroni salad..just the individual ingredients...nothing mixed together! Now he's looking through the Quick Cooking cookbooks I get every year from Taste of Home and writing down all the pages of things he thinks we should make. He has quite a list going!

I checked out Divine Digital and the new monthly progressive digi challenge has been posted so I did the first week for that one but the site went down so I have to wait to post it. Can't wait for the first digi challenge here...any clues to be given?

How FABULOUS!!! He'll get more 'adventurous' with his food if he starts helping out :-). At least he'll try the food individually, that's more than some. My dd2 can be picky but she's always wanting to make somthing (usually sugary sweet though ;-)) but that's how she started and she'll eat different things if she makes them with me...or at least give a good try.

I know, I loved that paper just wish I could've done a better job on the page...I'm very rusty...which is why I'm working on older pictures...it'll blend right in ;-). Just re-calucated my annual to be 58 pages. That's taking into account the last 5 and the next 7 months. So, my goal for June (and there after at this point) is 6 pages.

Okay, the downside of having daughters only...I'm working on a Superbowl Sunday page and it would be nice if I had footballs...I apparently do not buy such items! I have cheer but not quite the right fit...guess I need to go to Michael's or JoAnn's today :-)

You could always google football images and even add a stroke around your choice to make it look like a sticker, then print it out, MP!

Glad you're looking forward to the digi challenges starting on Tuesday! Terri (3fries) will be hosting the digi-mix challenge (different theme every week), and I think you'll like it! We have a team of four co-hostesses, so there should be a lot of variety and fun!

I'll be starting the Progressive Challenge that will go for four weeks. I hope everyone will enjoy it. It will have tips and some tutorials as we go along.
