I have worked over my color charts for matching the Prismacolor pencils to your SU! papers...so that they are up to date with the new color combinations.
In addition...
This chart does not have the matches for the new core colors or for the In Colors that come out in July. I will update when they come out.
Info on some of the color combinations in the above chart::
If you see two colors in one box, it is to be used like this...
Color the first color lightly and evenly in the box. Then color the second, also lightly and evenly, on top of it. Then take the first color and, using little circle motions, color the first color over the top to blend. You might need to adjust your proportions a bit but that is trial and error for each one of us!
Also, there are a few colors that always need to be colored with a very light touch...like Pink Pirouette and Crumb Cake.
very cool! Thank you for listing the 2-layer colors, so you don't buy a listed "match" only to find that it doesn't really match You're very sweet to do this work and share it!

Diane, you are so awesome! I'm going to be bugging you in about a week or so for all of the charts that you've done, really 3-4, because everything is changing over and I rely on a specific few and they're almost impossible to find with the updates.
Congrats on your new spot on the CAS DT. You definitely deserved it and I'm so glad you won.

I'm currently updating the chart in post 1 above, and when I get it all done, I will replace that one with the updated one. Stay tuned! All done! The chart is completely finished.

Diane, Thanks for all your hard work on this chart! I came looking to update my pencils and I knew I could count on one of my fabulous SCS friends to have done the work for me! Thanks for sharing with us!

I haven't gotten my colors yet. In the past I have made estimates because I have gotten sheets of paper from my demo early, but haven't yet this year. I'll get them added to the file in the first post as soon as I get a match. Promise!
Diane, if you PM me your addy I can send you a quarter sheet of each of the new incolors - if that would be of service? Blessings, thanks for all you do, Lela
Diane, just found this chart today and LOVE it! Thank you so much for sharing this. I've tried to match the colors before but didn't do too well...... This is exactly what I wanted/needed!

I feel badly that I didn't follow this thread closely. I would have contacted Lela and gotten samples or I would have been quicker at checking my paper when I did get it. Here's what I am using for the new in colors:
Calypso coral: 922 Poppy Red Lucky Limeade: 1005 Limepeel Pool Party: 1016 Deco Aqua...but since that isn't available now, use 992 light aqua very lightly colored Island Indigo: 1027 Peacock Blue Wisteria Wonder: 1007 Imperial Violet
Now, since Prismacolor has re-released some of their colors (3 Deco colors...Yea!...and 3 Neon colors, as well as releasing 12 of the colors formerly in the lightfast line) I will be re-evaluating some of my colors on the chart. I don't really expect major changes, but some of the colors may get a bit closer match.
Thanks so much for posting the latest colour matches. I have been matching things myself but it's nice having some else's opinion. Your complete matching list has been really really helpful.
Here's the new 2012-2014 In Colors...at least what I am using right now.
Primrose Petals 929 Pink
...I am so SO happy that this is an almost dead-ringer for Rose Romance!!! just a tad darker! Raspberry Ripple 925 Crimson Lake Summer Starfruit 1098 Artichoke Gumball Green 911 Olive Green Midnight Muse 901 Indigo Blue
Here is the updated PDF for the current colors. I see that I no longer have the Edit button for my original post. Bummer. I prefer seeing the files in the first post of the thread. I may have to start posting a new thread every year. Double bummer!
