Three weeks ago I was trying to decide on my Technique challenge for the week when I came upon a wonderful tutorial I had not yet seen. It was Emily's beautiful Dryer Sheet Flower Technique. I decided to do this for the Memorial Day Technique Challenge, but then figured everyone would be busy that day with family and friends, so chose something fast and easy (Distressed Edges). Little did I know that her tutorial was for a LATER Wednesday tutorial that hadn't even been posted yet! Good thing I waited! But here it is this week, and I hope you will play along!
I know many of you may not use dryer sheets, and I apologize for that, but I did want to highlight Emily's technique for our Monday challenge this week and recycle! You can see Emily's fabulous written tutorial and Beate's great video tutorial HERE.
How perfect that I'm sitting here waiting on a load in the washer to hurry up and finish so I can put it into the dryer and head to bed....guess I'll dig up a dryer sheet to throw in and hope I have time to make the flower later!
I have two dryer sheets sitting on my desk waiting to give this a go, so even though I am up to my eyes in stuff today I'll try to fit the challenge in. Maybe I can get the cutting, colouring and Stickles done before I lay into the housework.

This is wonderful, Judy. I was hoping to get a card made with this technique soon anyway. Very appropriate as Emily is Featured Stamper this week. Back later with a card.

Wonderful challenge, Judy....and thank you for introducing me to Emily's tutorial. I always have used dryer sheets on hand. Thanks, Emily, for coming up with this clever and thrifty idea!
Judy- this was a great challenge! I made a few changes to the technique- I applied kids' watercolors to my moistened petals, and embossing powder to one of the leaves, along with blow drying on low to speed up the drying time. Here's Blooms and Butterflies
