JUN12VSNE ~ Friday, June 15, 10:00 pm EST ~ Landmarks and Locations
Title: Landmarks and Locations
Hostess: Barbara, bejoyce
Keyword: JUN12VSNE
Day/Date: Friday, June 15
Time: 10:00 pm EST
When you think back over your travels, what comes to mind? Is it a specific landmark (Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, etc.) or just a location that you've enjoyed? For me, one of my fondest memories is taking our children to Ocean City, Maryland, each summer. I loved seeing the kids playing in the water and making castles in the sand! My second card recalls a trip to Seattle to visit our daughter many years ago.
My challenge isfor you to make a card or project using LANDMARKS AND LOCATIONS as your inspiration! You might use a stamp that shows that landmark or any image that makes you recall a wonderful journey that you experienced. Please tell us a little about your trip.
1. ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EST ON Monday June 18.
2. You have 45 minutes to complete the challenge.
3. No double-duty entries are allowed in VSN. This means you cannot combine 2 or more challenges into one entry.
4. Please remember to put in the correct keyword, JUN12VSNE, when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure it is seen.
My samples are below.
Thanks for playing along with my challenge! I'm looking forward to seeing your cards!

Oregon's my home, and it's a great state for road trips. There's ocean, mountains, plains and high desert-- Metropolitan centers, small towns and rural-- the arts, sports-- whatever. My favorite trips are to the coast, which is unfortunately not included in this image. Of course, the image has to include the rain. My recent house guests (Californians) thought those rain drops were tears! Wimps.

OK, ladies, that'll do it for tonight's VSN. Come back tomorrow when we do it all over again with new challenges, 1 pm for the kids, 2 pm for the rest of us, eastern time.
Meanwhile, I'll check back from time to time to see what you've created for this challenge.
Thanks for playing along,

My card is inspired by the beautiful Key West sunsets. My husband and I went on a spring break vacation there a few years ago. It was my second time being there - his first. Every night they have a Sunset Celebration down at the pier with performers and different types of vendors. It was so much fun! We both absolutely loved it! I don't have any nautical or beachy feeling stamps so this is what I came up with. I used the More Mustard DSP to replicate the sun's rays during the sunset.
Hi! I didn't get to this one tonight. I loved your card Barbara, and I love this challenge.
I just got through cleaning up my mess, so I can strt fresh tomorrow. I couldn't believe what a mess I had from just making 4 cards! I have been going through the gallery and it looks like a lot played tonight! What fun. Tomorrow afternoon, I will do this one. I already have something in mind. Thank you for hostessing a VSN Challenge.

Hi everyone the site is still experiancing problems with the uploads so I will thumb nail this card too.
All through my childhood we spent our holidays at the beach, infact we had a holiday shack at the beach and every Boxing Day (day after Christmas day) we would pack up and head for the sea and sand.
My dad owned a dingy, one of the old wooden clinka built ones and we used to row it up the river that ran down to the sea.
I have made a card that reminds me of this and for no other reason than I felt like it I used Twinkling H2O's. I had fun and it was fast but the photo isn't the best it dosen't show the vivid colour. See below
Cheers
What a FABULOUS challenge idea! I chose one of my favorite places: NYC
I've got several different stamps that I could have used, but this little lady won out. Thanks for hosting for us last night. I haven't enjoyed stamping so much in a LONG time! {love}
Another fun challenge!!! I went with the "landmark" theme, since I've never been to Paris. This was a chance to use this cool stamp set that was given to me, so thanks for the great theme.
Here's my card. My favorite memory was a house right on the beach in North Carolina. It was as close to heaven as I've come in a vacation.
