Woohoo! It's Time for the Fair! It's our 2nd challenge of our Summer VSBN Fair. We're all enjoying the sites, sounds and activities from our last Scrapbooking Fair Challenge! Be sure to stop and check out those GREAT Pages!
No matter what Fair you go to, your sure to find a ride or 2 ...3 ... 4 that goes around. You could ride on a horse around the merry-go-round or see all the great sites from a top the Ferris Wheel. Of course, if you're more of a thrill seeker, you could spin in a ride fast enough for the floor to drop and be pressed to the wall. Whatever your preference for going around, the Fair has it.
Tonight our ScrappingFair Challenge has a bit of a different Twist on it .... We're going to Spin Through the Gallery! That's right, It's a Scraplift Challenge. Your Scrap Fair Circle Challenge is to go to the Gallery of the Person who posts before you and says "Here's My Ticket" or "I want a Spin" and grab a page to be inspired by and scraplift. A "scraplift" is when you take inspiration from a page done by that person and create your own page. A scraplift can be the sketch, the colors, the title, the embellishments...whatever inspires you from that page. Make sure when you upload you post a link to the page you scraplifted in your description. Your page or pages can be any size, digi or traditional. You can also play more than once!
Enjoy the Ride! I can't wait to see what you come up with.
Just to clarify:
1. Post in the thread A Reply with Title - "Here's My Ticket" or "I want a Spin"
2. In the body of your post, just to help everyone keep up, list the person who posted before you who you are scraplifting. --- for instance, I've posted first so whoever posts after me would scraplift from my gallery and the next person would scraplift from theirs ...
3. Head to their Gallery and pick a page or 2 to be inspired
4. Upload to your Gallery with Key Word "12SummerVSBN02" and be sure to post the link to the page you chose in your description
5. Come back to the thread and post your link, feel free to post the link to their page as well if you'd like
6. *Optional* sign up to RIDE (scraplift) again

OK. Found you all...so I get to go to Lela's gallery and choose something. Hope I can find a DPS with lots of room for pics. I've got a certain project in mind so I'll see if I can make it work. Off I go!
Sharon, perfect! You are correct. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
Since I am scrapping this evening I'm going to scraplift from you so the next person would again scraplift from my gallery and we would keep going :o
** I'll add a list to the first thread so it keeps us up-to-date**
I am THRILLED to have these pictures scrapped. Ever had a set of picts that you pick up and put down 100 times before you scrap them? These are the ones for me. Actually, the issue was that I had lots of post cards & memoriabilia and I just couldn't decide. I found a great page in Sharon's gallery from her trip and as soon as I saw it, knew I was finally going to get these Titanic picts scrapped!
Here is my scraplift of Lela's Traditons , Life on Board Ship.
This was such a great idea, Lela! I will take you at your word and go round again! I will scraplift Patti as she is above you. Is that right?
Also, I had to stamp my title and handwrite my journaling. I don't usually do that, but my printer died. I worked on it last night and again today. It says it has a paper jam, but there is no paper. It just works and works but can't make the paper go thru. :( So either I have to learn to write better or go buy a new printer.

I will be back....
Looks like I'm off to the Fair in Sharon's gallery!! I'm sure I can find something fun to lift!
Here is my scraplift of Pattis. I loved this heritage page of hers, and decided to add to my heritage album. This is me as a baby, in fact first photo ever, at least that is what it says on the back and that the hat was given by my Aunt Millie.
Shall I do another? How many can we do. This is fun. I would do Lurasfaith next. What do you think? This is motivating!!!
Is it too late to add my name & jump on behind Lura? If not that's okay I will keep cheering y'all on and wait for next one. Great idea and haven't been at VSBN for a long time

It is not too late! Go ahead and jump in and do Lura! I think we have 3 weeks! I have already been around twice! Hehe!
You did a great job with your page. At least your page is a "serious" page...very sweet. Mine was strictly to make fun of my DH for being such a goofball at our niece's 3rd birthday party

Thanks Terry! I think the basic layout was perfect for me to use the photo I did, except the orientation was off so I had to switch the strip. Yours was still sweet and I think it is a wonderful memory of your happy family life!!

Attached is a comparison in pdf format if you'd like to see the similarities. You might need to zoom the size out once you open the pdf. (My pdf viewer always opens it at 197% and makes it huge, so I lower it to 100% or so!)

Just returned home from our short summer vacation with the grand kids. The laundry is just about done, no dinner tonight as we ate enough on the road and in the car.
Have a few new pictures that I could scrap if I did digital, I will check out Wendy's gallery for a scrap lift and use older pictures. DGK's went home, looking forward to a little quiet time to scrap. Good to be home!
Wendy was my inspriation with this page Monarch Butterflies
Her page struck a cord with me. It is the next best thing to being able to see what she was able to see and capture on film.
