Summer Clean & Simple Design Team Search
Make a Fashion Statement
To enter the competition for this Clean & Simple DT search, make a CAS card following the instructions posted on Monday evening at about 8:00 PM EDT. And then post in this thread with a link to your card.
Who can play for a DT spot? Anyone except store owners and past CAS DT members. (But you can play just for the fun of a challenge. )

Standard Expectations for a DT member: I need you to post your sample for each challenge on Sunday evening between 10PM-11PM EDT. You may miss 1 or 2 weeks do to illness or emergencies. You will be participating in choosing the challenges for the season during your 2nd week as a DT member. When the season is ending and a new DT search is going on, I would like you to help with the judging, especially in the final round.
CAS Summer Design Team Schedule (June - August 2012)
In addition to the three new DT members, there will be a guest designer each week. Hostess Statements
TIP: This is a contest for CLEAN & SIMPLE. I tend to push the definition once in awhile with my own cards, but when judging for the design team, I lean towards the conservative cas designs.
Advice: Please remember that everyone who participates wants very badly to be on the design team. The reason why I started the guest designers was so that more could get involved. That said, there will always be disappointments. Please remember it also comes with more opportunities. This happens every 3 months. Four times a year is great for this type of event! To do it more often would be too stressful. These events take a lot of time and I love doing them. And it's easier and happier when everyone is a good sport. I do this for YOU! (In fact, the cas challenge was the very first challenge to have a design team!) I want as many people as possible to experience being on the team. Some people may have to wait longer than others, but waiting builds perseverance and strength. Please have fun!!!
Photos: Please remember the clearer the photo of your card is, the better it will look. Make it stand out and make us say "WOW!" Photo software programs have editing options. CHALLENGE #1: Make a Fashion Statement with Flowers
Most of us love to decorate with flowers. They are outside and inside our homes. Some are real and some are not. You can find them in hanging pictures, on wall paper, in vases and, of course, on our cards!
On our cards, flowers can be elegant, whimsy, cutesy and fun. What is your style? Show us on your CAS card!
Your flowers do not have to be stamped. You can use any accessories to achieve the floral look.

Here's the Twist: You will see a few pairs of shoes from Macey's in the attachments, BUT the card can not have shoes on it. paper piecing
with your favorite patterned paper and stamps.
Here's the twist: As usual, you will stamp the image on the pattern paper and cut it out, BUT you cannot cover the whole image using the patterned paper. For example, if your stamped image is a fashionable lady carrying a purse and umbrella, it could just be the purse and/or the umbrella that is paper pieced.
