I'd not heard of it until today either.
I'm curious to see if the dies & letterpress plates will be usable in other machines - cuttlebug, bigshot, wizard etc.

Love this - looks like it may fit throught my cuttlebug!!
OMG, not another machine! I'm with Nancy on this one. Hopefully it will fit in the bug or even my Vagabond. I really do like the stamp/die whatever it was that she did!!
The video mentioned an extra plate that does allow it to be used with other machines
From looking at the video, I thought it said you can use "other plates" in order to use different dies in the Fiskars system. It showed them putting a Spellbinders nestie through the machine using the longer plates, which looked a little like Cuttlebug plates.
Basically, it looks like a similar machine to the Cuttlebug, where you crank through with the roller, but you use the Fiskars dies and accessories to cut and emboss.

I already have a Cuttlebug and have been looking at larger machines that will take the Grand sized nesties etc. but wasn't keen on spending money on the Grand Calibur as it doesn't take 12" wide paper nor the large Sizzix dies. I think this Fiskars machine looks promising.
I might like to get this, after I find out the dimensions and the cost. I need a wider machine and this could be the one! June 18, I have a date with HSN.

I like the idea of easily inked plates, this does look promising. Hope that it works with BigShot though as I'm none too keen on shelling out for and storing another device!

sounds a little expensive. I didn't search too hard for the pricing since I probably wouldn't invest in another machine right now. Also, trying to get the supplies here would be like trying to find hen's teeth.
It looks like it will handle 12" wide dies, and that is probably MSRP. The Big Shot Pro is sold for $400 on the Sizzix site. So far it's cheaper than that. Retail stores might have sales going on by the time the machine comes out. Hopefully the Fiskars machine is a comparable quality.
way to much money for me. I will stick with my cuttle bug which is 4 years old now and cuts every thing. I just wish cuttle bug would have came out with a wider opening

The big shots are frequently on sale at joann.com for around 55.00. I love mine so much that I bought a second one "just in case". You never know when they will discontinue a product that you love. It has happened to me so many times that if I really like something I buy duplicates. I do own a cuttlebug. I used it once. I know that it has a smaller footprint, but I love the BS.
Don't pay any attention to me, gals, I am such a non-gadget/tool person.
I am still very, very happy with my little Cuttlebug that I bought at Michaels over 5 years ago with a 50% coupon for about $40 bucks!
I have quite a few CB embossing folders that I use often and love. I've also accumulated quite a collection of dies from different manufacturers. So my current system more than satisfies my needs.
I don't even need a wider opening, since I only make cards. I was delighted to find that the Sizzix BigZ dies will work with my CB, too. If I have a longer border-type die, I'm perfectly willing to run it through halfway, reposition it on the CB plates and run it through again.

I think if I saw this when I first started paper crafting, I would be more interested since it can take a 12" sheet of paper and I was more into scrapbooking back then. Right now, I have pretty much everything I want. I just want a new Zing or Cameo now.
I was hanging out with my sisters in Myrtle Beach this weekend, and happend to turn the channel to HSN and saw this presentation. I had to order one and check it out, no shipping fee and 30 days to try it out.
I havew a Big Shot that I love but this reminds me more of the machine that they have at the craft store except a little smaller version and it does take 12 inch paper. uses all the popular dies you just have to order the adaptgers seperately. I decided to wait on that part but the price wasn't bad and the easy pay makes it even better. I hope it turns out to be as good as they say it is.

I can't get over how HUGE this machine is! It does look nice and heavy duty too. Too pricey for me though especially when combined with the extra fee for the converter plates to use other dies. I plan to continue to use my original Cuttlebug until it breaks.

I'm not interested in another machine, either, but I am interested in some of the dies. They cut and do letterpress in one pass - I saw pretty designs in the YouTube demo video. And they're compatible (per the video) with BigShot and Vagabond.
