Square Cards are fun - here is a new spin on those fun shaped cards.... a 5x5square card with a slit punch tab at the top of the card.
I hope you enjoy my sketch selection.....This idea came to me in my deep thoughts one day. I was trying to figure out how to put a new spin on square cards. Something new and different! This is what I came up with. My friends call it the "Bethie fold".....
...I look forward to seeing all your creations....
And by all means - bonus points for a hat trick: The TLC (Faux embossing), the color challenge (Chocolate Chip, Bashful blue and Certainly celery) and the sketch!
To print this layout: - (nc means no color) If you see a small layout click on it or if you see an icon click on the words next to it.
-When the black surround screen appears click only on the layout and a white screen with the layout should appear.
-Right click and click on print from the pop up box or hold down your shift key and P key at the same time.
-Now you're ready to choose print and it should print to actual size of the card depending on your computer.

Reason: added no color attachment and printing directions
Oh wow, Beth, I've never done this type before...I will work on it though...this may take me awhile to figure out. Thanks so much for doing the challenge this week.

Beth, I love your new SC. I am stamping, but have not been able to upload....our PC crashed last week and we are replacing. In the meantime, I am using our laptop, but it is not hooked up to our scanner and I can not upload :-( I have last weeks SC, 2 CC's from last wk and 1 CC from this week I am anxious to share. I am learning patience.......darn. Thanks again for your fun SC's. Computer-less, Nancy
Hmmmmm? Wondering how to do a smooth slit punch without the punch. Will think on that and hopefully try tomorrow.
If you are like me and have a Fiskars shape cutter system sitting in your rarely used pile, you could do a partial cut of a circular shape in the place you would like the slit.
I am so glad the site was slow last night when I 'tried' to check to see if the challenge was posted early!! I wouldn't have been able to sleep!!!
Thanks for taking the challenge this week Beth!! I looks so cool!!

Hope you don't mind me hi-jacking your thread Beth! I just wanted you challenge addicts to know that justampin will be posting the Ways to Use it Challenge tomorrow for me. I had been going to post the anniversary challenge this morning but realized that next week is actually a year of the ways to use it challenge....I'm crazy busy here as well as the kids are off for March Break.
Great challenge, can't wait to get started. Unfortunately I have errands this morning, but as soon as I return, I'm off to my stamping room. Thanks for a great challenge Beth, I've never done a square card before and am excited about this. I already have something in mind! Oh I hate being this excited and not being able to get to stamp for a couple more hours. Lord have mercy and grant me some patience!
Very interesting sketch. I'm looking forward to trying it tonight or later this week depending on how my time goes. Thanks lacyquilter for mentioning about the Coluzzle to substitute for the slit punch. I was going to mention that. I love all the creations I have been seeing already for this challenge but must get to work now and will see you ladies later.
Just checking in to find it was here last night, Bethie pulled a early post and I didn't even check, the site was not working in my favor last night anyway. So I'll be back to post in a few!
Morning all! Beth, you sooo rock! Saw your card with the rick-rack last week and knew I had to try one. But, alas, it will have to wait, DD and I are off to Disneyland today (we have season passes). Maybe Mickey will give me an inspiration?
I've looked at all the posted cards, but the system is so slow I have given up commenting this am....but so far you girls are rising to the challenge with GREAT cards (to case, hee-hee)!!!!
This is a great SC!! I have a fancy folds class coming up and this may become one of our cards, perfect timing!! I did 2, the first with the Island Blossoms scrap kit and so there was very little stamping. It went together so fast it felt like I cheated so I did another, LOL.
