2012 Cards for A Cause
~ APRIL MISSION ~
 Stamp from the Heart!

TYPE OF CARDS REQUESTED:
Any type of cards are welcome! Birthday, thinking of you, thank you, anniversary, holiday cards, you name it! The residents of Summit Pointe say they also would like to have cards that they can send to grandchildren, not just cards for adults.
SPECIAL RESTRICTIONS:
NONE
ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Please include an envelope with each card for purposes of convenience. Since these cards will be given to others, used by the resident's to give to their family and friends, they should be blank inside. You may stamp inside, sentiments, etc., just no writing. Thank you!
MAILING ADDRESS:
The cards should be mailed to Sue Craig and she will hand deliver them to Summit Pointe.

Oh Mother what a wonderful thing you are doing here! Thank you to all who participate. I can't imagine not being able to afford a card to send to loved ones, can you? Bless all of you who take the challenge. These wonderful older people are just a hoot! We made some cards in September with them and they invited us to the bar for a drink afterwards! They really did have a bar there, but it was closed! LOL I'm so proud to be part of such a loving and giving group of ladies.

I am no longer receiving email notifications for the cards for a cause does anyone know why I looked in spam and it was not there I was receiving them before?

I have...oh gee, here I go again not remembering how many cards there are in the envie....LOL!!...I think somewhere between 12 and 17. They will be postal by the end of the week. I had a few that I made plus some that I have received from swaps.

When you say blank inside do you mean completely blank - no stamping inside at all? Just wondering! Would like to get some cards together for this great cause but just wanted to clarify the inside |

Hi Nona! I am not sure....but each month I start an entirely new thread within the forum and I am not sure that you can subscribe to a forum! Oh brother, I wish I knew! One thing you could do is subscribe to this new thread and then at the end of April, when I post a link to the new monthly thread, you would get an email directing you to the new thread, then you could subscribe to every thread each month....does that make sense? Or you could send understandblue (lydia) a quick pm and ask her if you can subscribe to a forum!
I just am not sure! Hugs!

Hi there! Good question! Yes, you can stamp in them...that is totally fine, blank just means nothing written inside because these people are going to use them to send to others within their circle of friends, family......

Thanks for clarifying the inside - that's what I thought it meant but just wanted to be sure. Planning on sending a pack of cards out. I worked in a nursing home for eleven years and know how important it is for them to have cards to send to their loved ones |

You can stamp inside, if possible a larger font so residents themselves can read it.

i would be happy to make some cards. my mom lives in a care home and all though she is unable to communicate, one of the other residents love to send cards so i will make them and send them asap
thanks for doing this for the people who cannot do by themselves.

Thank you so much Chaitali for your generous heart. These elderly people appreciate them so much. This is an on-going thing I do for them. I try to keep up with their needs but somethings it's hard. I also run the card ministry at my church and have to have cards ready to make once a month for that as well.
This will help me get ahead again and possibly get to plan a stamping night again for the ladies.

I would like to know if you can send cards to Summit Point any time of year for the residence. I am traveling a lot this month and will not have a lot of time to send a bunch but I want to as this is close to my heart because my father was in a facility for two years and I went everyday so I know how it is. He passed away in Sept
Please let me know if I can do this
