Right now I have two papers I like using. Wausau Exact Index 110# because it works excellent with my copics, I can get it at my local Staples, and its inexpensive and I don't have to order on line or pay shipping. The new one I found that I really really like is Hammermill Colour Copy digital cover 100#. I can also get this one at office supply stores. It has a nice smooth finish and it works beautifully for card bases as well. Its a little more pricey (about $26CDN for 250) but it is really nice cardstock.
JJ, my favorite paper is X-Press It Blending Card ($49.95 for 125 sheets at oozak)
My next favorite is Hammermill Color Copy Cover ($10.00 for 250 sheets at amazon). This is the 80#.

My first choice is X-Press It Blending Card. I split an order with a friend and got it from Oozak (see price in above post). Sounds pricey but if you ONLY use the CS for the image you are coloring and use other cheaper CS for the remaining layering of the card, it really does last a long time!

I've always liked and used the Xpress IT blending card too - terrific paper for copics.
I recently tried the newly released Rangers Inkessentials speciality stamping paper and found the stamped image and copic ink colour was far richer and vibrant on the Ranger paper than on the Xpress blending paper IRL. My favorites are the Copic X-Press It Blending Card and Cryogen (which has a sparkly finish). I also buy the Copic X-Press It through oozark, and the Cryogen through Paper Temptress.
Angela, according to your link, the Ranger paper is coated. I've read that Copics shouldn't be used on coated paper because the coating could ruin the brush tips.
Just a heads up, because I wouldn't want you to ruin your markers!

I've tried several different papers with my Copics, but I always go back to Papertrey Ink's Stamper's Select white. I love all colored PTI paper too, and I think the price point is great (with free shipping if you purchase enough at one time). Good luck on your search!
I don't like the Neenah Solar White because it's "loosely woven" (or something!) and if you get too close to your image outline with your Copic marker, the ink can bleed over the line and get all feathery. Especially reds.
I like the X-Press-It Blending Card, but I actually like the Gina K 80# weight white layering cardstock best. For me, the shades of Copic ink just blend so much better on it than with the X-Press-It.

For me, Neenah bleeds a lot when you get close to the line - yellows are bad, reds are worse. Copic had free shipping for X-Press It until yesterday, but the Oozak price looks good!

Thanks for the heads up. I haven't noticed any problem on the tips of my markers yet, so I'll certainly watch out for that.
I've only used Neenah Classic Crest Solar White. It's one of the most recommended so I tried and it haven't found a reason to switch. Except for the price ... and the other recommended papers are also costly.
I paid $32 for a ream (250 pages of 80 lb cardstock) at the local Kelly Paper. Thank goodness I didn't have to pay shipping, too. I just about choked at the price, but then I reminded myself that even if I were to color a stamped image every day (which I don't!) it would probably last me a year, so I guess it's not that bad.
For coloring with Copics, the X-Press It does work well for the image layer. My issue with it is the slight grayish cast, which I haven't been able to match to another cardstock for the card base. It's also expensive.
My current favorite for Copics is Hammermill Color Copy Cover. It's acid free and 100 brightness. I use the 60 lb for quick color tests because it saturates with so little ink. Then I use the 80 lb for the actual image layer and the 100 lb for the card base. Prices for the Hammermill are a bargain. If you have an Xpedx Store in your area, you can probably pick up free samples of all three weights to try. Amazon also stocks it.
Melissa mentioned Neenah Classic Crest Solar White. While I don't use that for Copics, I really like it for blending colored pencils.
I prefer Neenah Classic Solar White for my copics. I've tried Cryogen White, and Paper Trey as well as copics X-Press It. I still much prefer the Neenah Classic paper.

Out of curiosity I wrote to Copic to double check that the copic markers were 'safe' to use on the Ranger speciality paper.
Here's their reply and I thought I'd share it here:
"We have tested the Ranger paper. It is not going to ruin your markers, but the paper is intended for different ink effects. It will not show off the best traits of Copic Markers- the blending is not smooth, and it will not react as you want it to."
This makes sense to me as it's what I found. The colour is very vibrant, but layers of ink 'float' (as mentioned in my review in the linked article). If you dont want to do lots of blending and like the vibrant colour you get from using this paper with your copics - then go for it, it's not going to damage your markers.

I was using Neenah but the bleeding problem made me switch to Cryogen. I didn't know what the paper was like until I received my shipment and it is the same as SU shimmery white! I tested shimmery white and it worked just as well as Cryogen white. I love that they don't bleed and if I don't want to buy a ream of Cryogen I can buy a few pages of shimmery white. Yea!
the cardstock i have been using with my copics is xerox colotech gold - it's a lovely smooth white card and i've not had any issues with it. i've not tried any other cardstock so can't compare results tho.
I bought one ream of Neenah because everyone here spoke so highly of it and I ended up using it for cardbases because I hated how it blended, the ink always ran out of the lines (and I consider myself a pretty experienced colour-er) and I wasn't going to change my colouring style to work with the paper.
I LOVE Copic's X-press blending cardstock for so many reasons (it's not as thick as other cardstocks so I'm not using as much ink, the colours from dark to light blend seamlessly without weird light/dark spots popping out and it's great to stamp on!!) so despite the price this is my go-to paper!

My favorites are Copic X-Press It Blending Card and Cryogen. Like the blending card as it is heavy enough to make a card. Get both of these from iCopic.com which I find is a great site. Gold members get free shipping also.
Also, if you want to color a card and not have it bleed through, use Pure Luxury 120lb Heavy Base Weight Card Stock from Gina K. Great paper.

Amen to XPress It. Second choice for price, Taylored Expressions choice white. Of course, they don't manufacture it but just repackage it so it may be the same as some other paper recommended here. Since XPress it doesn't come in vanilla, I add Antique Linen Distress ink sponging after colouring.

I like Copic X-Press It best but for a more affordable alternative I have been using Boise HD Color Copy Cover. I decided to try it on a whim because it looked just like the Hammermill Color Copy Cover I have seen other people mention. I works well for me. Last month I decided to try Bazzill smooth cardstock. I got 100 12x12 sheets for $16.95 last month on HSN and I am thrilled with the performance for the price. I just cut the pages to fit through my printer and color my digis to my heart's content. Between the 250 sheet ream of Boise and the Bazzill I will never use all of this cardstock in a lifetime.
All the different papers require a tweaking of your coloring method to adjust the amount of ink you use when coloring. More ink for thick cardstock and less ink for thin. I find that with these 3 thinner cardstocks as well as Neenah I need to let my ink dry between layers of color to avoid any bleeding. I use much less ink and prefer to "feather" the colors on instead of fully saturating with the lightest shade and then coloring to dark.
I think I've tried every white paper on the market and I went back to curious cryogen white from Buy Cheap Cardstock for Invitations, Scrapbooking, and More at CutCardStock.com it's 89lb cardstock and it also comes in 80lb text weight for printing off digis. It's fabulous for copics and has a shimmer to it even after it's colored. Does not bleed or tear or stick when you are coloring. I also use it for everything that I color even H20's or pencils or anything. It's not really expensive and the more you order the cheaper. The memento black works great on this also for the copics
I've tried many papers and my favorite is the Flourishes classic white. A bit pricey since they don't offer free shipping anymore, but I only use it to color so it lasts a long time. I find that I can blend the best with it and can actually get reds, purples and dark blues back in place with the colorless blender if I need it to.
