My Favorite Things mini rolled roses die is what I use. It takes a bit to get the hang of rolling them but once you do, they come out pretty. The problem would be the card stock you cut it with. I'm using PTI and it kind of crinkles and it makes for very thick petals which are not easy to mold. Maybe some thinner paper? I know I LOVE these used with felt. Way cuter and easier to work with.
I have the Tim Holtz tattered florals die and the flowers are way too big. I've seen amazing tutorials on youtube with these huge flowers made with this die but I don't have an use for those.
An easy, simple flower that I make and use a lot - the Martha Stewart Daisy punch, using two layers, with a button or jewel in the center. You can make it with cardstock or co-ordinating pattern paper for a cute look. I think it looks nice, but doesn't stick up too much for easy mailing. Here is one on a card in my gallery:
Ohhhhhh I LOVE Kittie's work!!! I have drooled over her stuff in the gallery forever! Not sure why I didn't think to find her blog. LOL I like how she shows a pic of the stuff that she uses (dies, punches, etc.).

I have the Sizzix rose rolled flower die that I've been playing with... I'll see if I can post a pic of a couple of my flowers...
I know that many use the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. What sizes do you use, and what size card are you putting them on?
I ordered some 5/8" ones and they're much smaller than I thought they would be... I'll use them, but am just wondering what others use.
Also, if you make your own, what technique to you use? Dies, punches, spirals, etc?

I had a hard time deciding which size to get (from WOC) in the beginning, too. I don't tend to use the really large flowers very often (but I know many people do with beautiful results). I try to list the sizes I use on my cards when I do my blog posts hoping that that will help others judge the sizes they might want to use. I generally use the 25mm, 20mm, 15mm, and 4 mm buds. I do use other sizes as well, but they are almost always under 25mm. (I know they added the inches recently, but I'm used to the mm sizing now since I've been using the flowers for a little while now.) Hope that helps!

I looked at their flowers again and I'm even more confused than before, if that's possible! They seem to have stems. Do you just cut off the stem and glue the flower to your card? I'm assuming that the flower doesn't fall apart if you do that?
I'm also seeing mulberry flowers and fabric flowers. What is best for cards?
NEVER MIND! I just looked again and saw the flowers without stems!! duh...!!

I do buy the ones with stems and just cut the stem off. I often use the stems later by wrapping them around something and using them as curly stems in my flower arrangements. (I don't think that makes sense, but you can see what I mean if you happen to look at some of the cards on my blog.) I use a lot of the paper roses along with some of the other flowers here and there. They have some great poinsettias for Christmas cards, too.
I've never seen Wild Orchid, so I will go check it out. My flowers generally come from stamps, either Heartfelt or Outlines. With Heartfelt there are matching Spellbinder's dies to cut them out. Most of my cards are A2 (for OWH), so I tend to go with medium to small flowers; however if I am making them from coffee filters I use larger ones b/c they are a lot of fun to scrunch. The sizes are generally 2 1/2" and smaller.
I love to make flowers. They are very time consuming and putzy but that is who I am I guess. LOL I use paper punches most of the time and put them together one petal at a time. Right now I have punched thousands of little flowers and I am putting them together to make lilacs. I also love to stamp and color flowers with Copics. If you go to my gallery you will find samples.
I think the prettiest flower made with coffee filters is the sweet pea. It is a punch made by McGill and I make then with white and sometimes tan colored filters. I color then with a Dove blender and chalk. I have one in my gallery.
