I'm an idiot. I try to put things away and clean up when I'm doing making a mess. So .... how was that paint brush allowed to dry when full of Mod Podge? Any ideas to restore the paint brush or should i just toss it? It's been sitting in liquid soap for about a day now ...
I end up throwing away the brushes when I allow Mod Podge to dry in a brush. I have not looked for a way to get it out other than water (which does not work once dry) so there may be something wonderful out there that works. Anyone know??
Thanks for all of the input. Now - don't laugh. I told you I had put the brush in liquid soap - either white rain or suave. Every time I walked by the bathroom I picked up the brush and rubbed it between my fingers. Well - last night I looked at it again and brushed it out with an old tooth brush. It's fixed! Not as perfect as new but dang close. I guess the glue on the inside wasn't dry and I just needed to soak through the stuff on the outside.
I use foam brushes for mod podge - that way I don't risk ruining good paint brushes and the brush hairs don't get on the project......... I usually grab them when they are on sale at Mikes - 14 for $1.00 that way I just toss them out when finished using it - if I have to wait for a coat to dry really good I will run the foam brush under hot water - that takes most of the mod out till I need to use it again- usually within a half hour - if it will be longer than I just use a new brush they are cheap enough!

I do exactly the same thing. I probably have 30 of those brushes stashed away in a drawer.
The good thing about not being able to Wash Out Mod Podge is knowing it's long lasting. :-)

Then you can imagine my surprise that it DID wash out! Granted - it probably wasn't dry on the inside bristles of the paint brush. I use it for sealing tiles. This time I was experimenting with toilet paper roll thingies and decoupage.
