Wait for it.. wait for it... TEN (10) days until Spring!!! I don't know about you all, but it was a very springlike weekend here in Colorado. We're looking at 70s for the most of this coming week, too! Yay!!!
~ Box in A Bag ~
This week we're going to use a great tutorial from the resources section. It's called Box in A Bag, by Diana Gibbs. I love the 'bones' of this tutorial. If you follow the directions as shown, you'll have a wonderful little gift bag. You can also alter the box to make it smaller, more squat, or even use acetate for a clear bag. Any way you do it, I think you'll agree that it's a great tool to have in your crafting toolbox!
Great project this week Holly. I haven't made one of these for ages. I love your take with the belt and handles. Now to get my thinking cap on for mine.

Holly, thanks for the great technique challenge! I used a ruler and a grid marked acrylic art board, and it worked just fine. I wanted to go with a pink/gray color combo- so I combined this with SU's Dreams du Jour Love you stamp, a pink gingham ribbon, and a green plaid fabric border for St. Patrick's Day.

In honor of St. Patrick's Day, I did a primarily green gift bag, using SU's Tags til Christmas for my To/From tag. I added a brown bag watercolored strip for the bag top, and added a button and some sequined adhesive hearts.
Have a great Monday! Here's Green Gift Bag

Holly, I love your Irish Bag and I was reading how you adjusted the size but I am not sure what size to cut the bottom piece. You had the measurement 3x2 but that is the size of the bottom of the bag. What size do I cut for the bottom for your sample and where do I score? Thanks!
