Virtual Baby Shower for JadeOnline! 2/17/12, 8pm EST
Heather (JadeOnline) is having her first baby!!!!
So we want to throw her a virtual baby shower!
Wanna come?
She is due end of February. So you have to make her a baby gift, TAKE PICS (But don't post them until the night of the shower on this thread), and then mail her the gift! Keep in mind she lives in Canada so you need to plan for mailing to there.
Then that night, Fri. 2/17/12, at 8pm EST, log on here, and we'll have a fun virtual baby shower, sharing gifts/pics, playing games, chatting up a storm, and just celebrating Heather's pregnancy with her and her blessing!
GIFT INSPIRATION:
From Jade at the Toni's virtual shower:
Ideas...I am a cardmaker mostly, not a scrapbooker, so I think the scrapbook gifts you've given Toni today are beautiful. I also love the book idea. I love to read and I definitely want to have a bookshelf in baby's room. Already have a couple of my favorite books waiting!

Heather - Susan had a great idea! If you havent received and opened the package I sent you already, you have to hold on to it for the shower. hehehe you can look but you can't touch!
I'm still going to make you something too. I felt bad sending a gift that wasn't scrap related in the first place, but I ran out of time.

Don't worry about it at all! Your generosity is awesome!! When I get it, I'll hang onto it until the 17th.
Just a note to those who might not mail to Canada very often...mail sometimes takes quite a bit longer to get here than it moves within the US. In my experience, average delivery time is about 10 business days, and we do not get delivery on Saturdays like you do. I can always admire pics on the night of the shower, but if you feel better knowing things arrive in time, I would suggest it get mailed around February 3rd.
I also often get asked is if there is any special paperwork to do. I am not familiar with the US system, but here in Canada we just need to fill out a short form on parcels, noting what's in the box, a declared value and if it's a gift. I usually just list stuff generically, (i.e. craft supplies) and I've never had a problem with something reaching it's destination.
The paperwork is the same here Heather. We just have to fill out the customs form too!
Oh geez....I thought it would make you squirm holding onto it! You're no fun!
LOL, I am totally NOT a peeker. It's funny, DH always says that if he hides a birthday/christmas gift in a spot that I NEVER go to, chances are I'll find it. But, if he TOLD me exactly where it was and said "don't go there!", then I won't.
I love wrapped gifts and the events around them. I am not a shaker, peeker, peeler, steamer, sniffer or spoiler.
That's funny! Hey what time zone are you? I'm just wondering if you're an insomniac too since when I was on around 2am you were too...
We're MST. I'm not an insomniac, but DH is a night owl and I try to keep up. Often I end up falling asleep on the couch, but last night I was blogging and crafting and surfing and the time got away from me.

Ducki and Heather...seriously...2AM?!? DH is also a late-nighter, but I don't even try to keep up with him! I've figured out that I also sleep better (esp. now with the pregnancy) if I go to bed early than if I stay up late. BUT, DH also calls me the 'energizer bunny', so it's not uncommon to be up late because I keep finding things that I want done before I go to bed! lol!
so what was decided..... Are people making 4X6 thingys? I am sortta lost between the 2 threads as to what most people arer doing and wht they are supposed to be DUH
Okay everyone...I've got something else on my wishlist now that I NEED badly!!........
Baby turning vibes!!
Had my appointment this morning and baby is still head up! Doctor said there's still time to flip, but that if baby hasn't done so by my next appointment in 2 weeks then he'd start to be concerned that he/she wasn't going to flip about...so, help me out please with your good thoughts and vibes.
(And we just need thoughts for one flip, not several!!!)
So, to expand on Jen's question:
Do you prefer 4"x6" size scrapbook pages, 8"x8" size, or 12"x12" size? : )
And all you who have joined -- please be sure to PM me your mailing address!
Thanks!

Guess what arrived today!?! So, naturally I shook it, sniffed it, held it to the light and stared at it hoping a mental image of the contents would telepathically appear in my brain.
The only image that appeared in my brain were cupcakes, so either my telepathy is on the fritz or I'll have a big moldy mess by February 17th.

Darn you guessed it! If you wouldn't of sniffed it then you might not of guessed it was cupcakes! I thought they would get to your quicker and not get moldy. Let's blame Susan for suggesting you hold on to it until the shower!

I guess there is no chance of the ice cream I sent to go with them still being frozen that long eitehr huh?
Heather - Peanut was 'right-side-up' at my last ultrasound on the 16th of Dec. (so I was around 32 weeks and I remember the sonographer being concerned, but my Dr. hasn't been. I have another ultrasound this Friday - I'm now 36 weeks - so I'm also hoping the baby's done a 180! lol! Although, I'm pretty sure his/her head has been stuck in my ribs for the last couple of weeks - either that or they have a big butt!!
How are you feeling otherwise??
Saw some of the cutest fleece at JoAnns the other day and thought about you (jungle print with monkeys)...but I'm still trying to decide what to make/get you!

Toni I was so disappointed when I saw a svg file for a peanut yesterday. You can make it a girl or boy but not ambisextrious like a teddy bear. I may have to buy it yet since I call CJ "tiny peanut". He is my youngest grandson and wasn't even 6 lbs at birth. We had to buy him a few preemies until he grew into newborns! lol
