How do you store cards you receive?

I've been swapping cards online for 4 years and have collected some real gems. I've also received some amazing RAKs over the years too. I really wish they fit in the slots of a photo album so I could have them safely on display. How do you store those special cards? Can you recommend any storage solutions for these? I would love to hear your ideas.

When I first receive any, I post them on my bulletin board above my desk so I can gaze at them and appreciate them for a while. Then I put them in an album for future reference. Nothing fancy to store them in yet. You are right though these are gems!

I keep mine in one of those acid-free photo boxes you can get on sale for around $2 at Michael's now and then. It doesn't display them, but it does keep them protected. I use these boxes to store my own cards, too. They come with divider tabs so you can separate them by category. Cheap and easy!

You know, I bought a bunch of sleeves that fit in a binder that are card sized...and for the life of me, I can't remember what website they were from! Let me think about it more...

And mine do fit 8 cards (2 fit in a pocket front to back). They do stick out a touch from the top, but it has never been a problem for me.

All of the special cards I receive I put into a scrapbook album along with some journaling such as who it was from and the date.

I'd like to know how people store their 3-D items. Most of these are crushable so I don't want to ruin them by stacking them in a box. They also take up space when you have a lot of them and want to keep them from getting damaged.

I store mine in an A5 folder in plastic pockets. A5 is about 5inches by 8 inches and I find this quite useful. It is easy to see them this way and I love flipping through. I reinforce the holes by using a clear reinforcement on each one. (I also do this with my scrapbook pages.) If I don't, because I look at them, and my family likes to look, the holes would be worn and useless. I also find this useful for putting out of the way, as I have unmounted stamps in folders too...

I am on the lookout for some metal "tape" I can adhere to my wall so i can put magnets on pegs and put them on the strip so I can look at them all day!!

You can get magnetic paint. It will turn any surface into a magnetic one. They may even carry it at Lowes or Home Depot.

I've been participating in a swap for 4 years as well. At one time we were up to 38 people....that's alot of cards every month! We only do 4x5 cards, which makes it really easy. I have them in a plastic container made my Sterilite. I made dividers labeled by occassion to keep them organized.

I got copper strapping tape at the hardware store and did this.
