Default Does anyone have the (lg) YUDU

I have been wanting one of these for quite some time now. My DH is asking me about Valentines gifts. I was at Michaels today and they have it for $99. So my question is do you like it is it worth the cost? I don't want to buy this thing and then not like it or want it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

TIA

That looks like fun. Definitely couldn't make enough things to justify it though.

A friend and I have been yearning for a YUDU for quite some time, primarily to make t-shirts and totes, etc., for our kids' sports teams. This sale might get her to take the plunge and I can play with it. I think it is a quality product and you can do a lot with it beyond t shirts.

Default yudu

It all depends on what you want to do with it. I have one and have used it one time to make backpacks (bad idea) since they didnt lay flat in the machine. It was ok cause they were for a bunch of kids, and they did come out ok..
pros:
can make anything you can print on the computer
make multiples of items say for a reunion, party etc.
cons:
emulshion sheets are expensive and can only be used once per color or you have to have multiple screens to reprint
kind of messy- need a pretty big area to work in

You MUST read and FOLLOW all directions before you start and make sure you understand what they are saying and have a lot of patience (the dry time is much longer than they say)
Now I spend $159 on it on sale...so for $99 I (a hoarder) would say go ahead and get it- it could be fun.
maybe watch some utube videos first
You can always pick it up, think it over, and return it if you change your mind

Thanks Ladies

I have wanted one for quite a while and asked for it for Valentines day.I think I will go ahead and pick it up when I go in tomorrow. I did find a website that has liquid emulsion. I will look in my history and post a link here for you.

This is the website. The people are screen printers and show you in the video how to do do it.

Hack the Yudu Screen - DIYTeeShirts.com (do it yourself tee shirt screenprinting!)

Awesome tutorial. I will be buying this from them.
