Where would you go for inspiration if there was no SCS.....
I was just thinking about this last night. I only started stamping in October and was lucky enough to find SCS right away. However, before this site was around or before you discovered it where did you get your inpiration? Not to jinks anything, but a good thing like SCS couldn't last forever. So if it disappeared, where would you go next?

Well, it will NOT disappear - ever!! <g> But before I found SCS, I got my inspiration from the 2Peas website (they have a stamping area) and from magazines such as Stamper's Sampler, Papercrafts, Rubber Stamper, etc. As an SU demo, THIS is the place to be!!! I also feel that I am a demo *because* of this website!! After seeing all the wonderful creations, I knew I had to get a discount on the stamps and the ladies here have been so encouraging about doing some workshops, stamp camps, etc.
Nuttnhoney also has an awesome website with great samples!

let's see if it disappeared I would lay in a ball in a fetal position in the corner and rock rock rock.
After a few weeks of that, I would call Jenn and demand she make samples for me.
Then I would go to Google and type in "Stampin'Up! card ideas" which is how I found this site and lots others (but now I come here 99% of teh time b/c it is bigger than any others).

BRITTA! I nearly choked on my breakfast taco! ROFLOL!
I LOVE (I want a heart smilie!) SCS - and spend a pretty good amount of time here ;) . . . used to surf the net for inspiration, and once this place was found, I was home. It's constantly changing (just uploaded a bunch more to the gallery!), and ya can't beat the people. Well, sometimes, you might want to beat US, but I digress. . .
Daven had better not pull the rug out from under us. I suspect there would be a huge # of disgruntled women screaming and running after him. Like over 23,000 (did you see we hit that milestone?!)

Seriously though. . . to answer you question, several of our members have great websites of their own:
Pat Huntoon (phuncropper) has a terrific site for techniques & another for scrapping with stamps - www.patstamps.com.
Soozie already mentioned that Kim McNutt (nuttnhoney) has a great site - www.nuttnhoney.net.
Alma Townsend has another great site focused on scrapping with stamps - www.scrapwithstamps.com.
I'm sure there are so many more, but those are the ones that are at the top of my head!
I also visited www.twopeasinabucket.com a lot, but it got frustrating to me that stuff was not sorted like we have it here.
Even if I go look elsewhere from time to time. . . I keep coming back here!

Whew!!! I thought it was bad dream---saying "What if there was not a Splitcoast". I actually had a so-called life BEFORE Splitcoast, but now I sit at the computer and just stare, oogle, comment, refresh, stare, oogle, comment, refresh and occasionally stamp and upload. I joined in 2003 but did not start really looking until this spring. Now, I dream about SCS!! I really did dream about the new DD gallery last night. (I seriously need to GET A LIFE) I don't know what the current #1 site is but it better watch out 'cause Splitcoast is rockin' its way to #1 BABY!!!
Merry Everything and Happy Always!! jg

I would like to comment on this site. I, in Oct, signed up to be a SU Demo. I have a hard "addiction" for this stuff! The thought of me coming up with my own ideas had literally scared me so bad that I did not want to do any parties at all. I still to this day struggle a little when I sit down to stamp. (I am my own worst critic) This site has brought me through some of that fear. Thank all of you who enter your work for people like me. I appreciate this site a lot.

While I would not like to see SCS disappear, EVER, I would have to go to the Idea Book and Catalog to get ideas. That's what I used before SCS. Also, would have to hit up my demo for ideas!

I found SCS through www.twopeasinabucket.com
I am a scrapper and they have good forums for Scrapping and stamping. They recently started sorting their stamping gallery. Its still a work in progress. SCS moves faster and twopeas is not SU focused but they have a group of very knowledgable stampers and while its easy to find sample galleries (especially of SU samples) on the internet having the feedback from experienced stampers is quite valuable.

okay-now that you have a mental image of me rocking in the corner, I am going to share a link that is near and dear to my heart. I stumbled upon it quite a while ago, and it includes some of the websites Jenn listed.
I *think* the person who compiled it is a membr here "Ashley" (Ross?)
anyway-it is a great link page. Enjoy
http://www.msrossbec.com/stamp/index.shtml
there are links to over 30 galleries, you might see some names you recognize! Also good if you are looking for links to older sets that SCS does not have samples for.
Enjoy!

No SCS? Why not dig a hole in the garden, curl up in it and die (a creative death, strictly figuratively speaking).

I also used Patstamps and Nuttnhoney. I still do, even though I have found SCS (Haaaaalleluia).
Some others I go to are www.stampahowlics.com and www.2sassystampers.com . I have found several others, but I go to those the most.

Oh and by the way...... where did I get my ideas? Well, I got them from my upline. And Once every 3 months there's a meeting that my uplines, upline puts on. I got my ideas from participating in the sway that we had there. I had stuff to do and then some just from one meeting. But, then I found SCS. The only problem is that there are SO MANY ideas here that if it did disappear I would have enough ideas to work on forever. Plus now we got those fun inspirations sheets. And we got the Stampin Success. BUT OMG..... it can never diappear. It is too great. I don't need to get a life. I have one.....it's on SCS!!

Breakfast tacos are not a secret. They are so YUMMY that most restaurants & fast food places serve them, some 24 hours/day!
Warm up a flour tortilla (if you're really good, you make your own!). Fill with your favorite fillings. . EAT!
Some of my favorite fillings:
Refried beans & cheese & crispy bacon.
Scrambled eggs with country sausage.
Scrambled eggs, fried potato chunks, cheese.
YUUUUUMMMMM!
