I thought I read somewhere that A Muse Studio was releasing a new catalog soon. I loved the 2011 catalogs and am eager to see more... anyone have any news to share?
Thanks for posting my pinterest board, Mindy! I made it public so if anyone finds any other sneak peeks they can post them there too! I am trying to post a new project on my blog each day (or at least post as many days as I can) until the catalog is revealed so I will keep the board updated when I post.
I can't wait to hear the updates from convention next weekend!
The polka dot that was 'classic A Muse' from A Muse Artstamps, Joan -- the uneven dots. They are introducing "petite polka dot" - smaller uniform dots evenly spaced.
I admit I was surprised, too - I thought we would always have the original, but the new one is very nice!
We got to play with some of the dies recently - they are super fun! I am secretly in love with the 3D strawberry box and I will make a bunch of the french fry boxes, candy boxes, and spiral flowers. I am staying up til midnight just so I can place an order TONIGHT!
You are right there - that strawberry box IS adorable.
And I'm glad you get to stay up 'til midnight! I'll be truly happy to hit the hay early tonight ~ it's been a hectic day, I've just recovered from a nasty cold, and I'm looking forward to snoozing ;) . But I'm sure my order will be in within 24 hours!!!
I agree, Joan. Some new, really gorgeous sets in there. I especially love the modern look to the Floral Duet set. The Papillon set has gorgeous butterflies, too. Love, love, love the artwork of the Touch of Nature set. Those birds in the nest, set on the branch are just too pretty!! The kid sets: Woo Hoo For You, Love Machines, and Greetings Earthling are awesome!! Two fabulous new "boy" sets!!! I could go on and on and on... definitely something for everyone!
I'm struck by the variety - yay. I think I managed to get a little of everything in my order today...now to wait impatiently for the shipping notice. I'm loving the samples I keep seeing popping up...keep 'em coming!
They are selling the Grand Calibur along with some exclusive dies.
Spellbinders has made changes to the machine - it's a new platform that holds a true 8.5"x11" without the need to trim paper to make it fit. A couple of the new dies only fit in this new machine and one of the nestabilities flower spirals is exclusive.
Just an FYI... I was playing with the Popcorn Box yesterday. I couldn't use it with my Big Shot because it requires a longer platform, which I don't have. However, I do have an extended platform for my Revolution and it worked fine in there. Hooray! It's such a cute box!

Thanks for sharing that - it's good to know what works, etc.
I'm loving all the new stuff in the catalog and need to find a 2nd job to fund my hobby wish list :-)
Floral Duet is my new current favorite set and I played with it all last weekend. I can't wait to ink it up again this weekend. I need to place another order and desperately want the following sets:
Papilion--gorgeous, gorgeous butterflies!
Woo Hoo For You--I've got a 7 yo dd and know she'll love it and we can use it for cards for all of her bff's
Love Machines--super cute robots and will work great for cards for my boys and their friends (as well as my dd)
British Invasion--love it! Love the sayings!
Venetian Background--swoon, and so versatile!
Vintage Labels 2 and the matching dies
Mod Backgrounds 1 & 2--cuz who doesn't need some smaller cool and funky background pieces?
Chevrons--um, hello? Love!!!!!!!!!!
Thank goodness I ordered the new colors already--love Seattle much more than I thought I would and the Venetian palette is simply stunning.
I haven't even gotten through all the accessories on my wish list yet and will be spending some time working on that this weekend.

With all of the interest in the new dies and GC, just wanted to pass along a little technical information - I know a lot of people are curious about which dies require the Grand Calibur:
"Popcorn box die and Rosette die set are larger format dies that take advantage of the 8.5" x 11" Grand Calibur platform (and will not work in smaller die cutting machines).
While not impossible to use on some smaller die cutting platforms, we strongly recommend the Grand Calibur for use with the Pyramid and Berry boxes as well to avoid possible damage to your die."
