If we already posted for January in the general thread (post #134), do we need to post again here?
If you want to post any future cards for January, this is the place to do it.
But you DO NOT have to repost your cards. Does that make sense? LOL I'm still foggy-headed.
And you can check back here to see what the others are doing.

Ok, I have my January cards done. I made 6 of these to use through the year as I have multiple male birthdays throughout the year. Thank goodness none of them know each other and can use the same card!!
How many here have made cards, that have never been sent anywhere?
I have a huge box full! I really gotta use that stuff up too!
I have a bunch of cards like, too. Some of them have been made at stamping club and I kept them for inspiration (and forgot about them). Some I wonder what I was thinking when I made it. The majority of them are Valentine cards made at stamping club.
I have boxes of cards from swaps I have gone too, and usually I don't like sending/giving cards I haven't made myself. But I must use them or donate them somewhere this year!

Here's my bling card
I used a Verve sketch and also used the "Free for all Friday Challenge - Potpouri". I really need to make some birthday cards but, so many other things going on this three day weekend. I've got to quick make a baby shower card, get my hair cut and I HAVE to complete a nine hour, on-line, FEMA class before my training on Tuesday. It was so noisy in our office all week, I couldn't concentrate on that boring, federal mumbo jumbo.
I never have extra cards. My friends and I send cards to Operation Write Home and I'm a volunteer coordinator at my work so I'm always needing birthday, get well and sympathy cards.

I got another card done for this month. This one was done for fun. It's pretty plain but I'm not sure what I want to add to it. I might add a tree or just leave it.
One last card for tonight and probably for the month. This is actually the second attempt with this one. I couldn't hide the boo-boos on the first. It was nice making cards because I want to and not because I had to.
I made a One Sheet Wonder set of 13 cards to use for this challenge. Post #155 challenged us to use bling and I did use bling on 3 of my cards. I've got my Feb. cards covered.

Left love, Debbie. Try a flower.. something dimensional.
I didn't think of a flower. Thanks for the idea. I don't have anything in my stash but I'm sure I can find something in my Silhouette library I can make.
I have done OSWs before but never tried making my own template. Too lazy to figure it all out. I made a set of cards for my sister for Christmas using OSW and I have paper cut and ready to make a bunch more cards. I'll probably gift them to my daughter so she has cards on hand. They'll have a horse theme.
Either way Jane... sometimes I go through my scrap box and just use it! I like the old Sketch Archives, look a tthe black and white sketch and the scraps and how ever it falls together
I start OSW with a card board piece form a paper pack and make it all fit together then cut up a full sheet
Okay so on Monday after work I went upstairs to try and figure out Feb... ( I know I need 2 guy cards for sure) and for the heck of it I picked up my rolodex and found ( another January oops)
My husbands oldest niece's dd ( in grade school) she never married, so I try to remember her ( i dont do all the kids there are a lot of them) but, she is one I usually remember and her bday was yesterday so I had time to get it done and hand deliver it yesterday to her gma...

Thanks, Vikki... I was giving an old piece of SU paper the evil eye yesterday, because it was getting in my way in the paper box...and I thought to myself, "you'd fit better if I chopped you into little pieces...." LOL! Which is what prompted the question...

Debbie & Jane - I just wanted to try making my own template to prove - to myself - that I could do it. But mine didn't end up being all that much different from existing templates, so I probably won't do that again. I didn't really have a "plan." I did refer to other templates for general ideas. I turned over an old/plain piece of dp and just started marking off pieces on the plain back. I didn't do a whole lot of measuring except to keep the pieces to an A2 card size. After it was marked off, then I measured the areas so I could cut up the dp that I wanted to use. After I finished the cards, I re-drew the template on the computer, although I don't know how others do that. I did it in Print Master, an old computer card making program. Printed it out and scanned it so I could attach. Like I said, I don't know how to do that part, but got it done in my own complex way.
A couple years ago I got tired of miscalculating the sizes of cardstock or not sure how a layout would look, so I started using copy paper (recycled, of course) to cut out different sizes to use as templates. I wrote the dimensions on each piece. I think I'll try laying some of them out on some cardstock and dp to see what I come up with. I'm sure it'll all end up pretty much the same as everyone else's templates that I have saved. I have a bunch of dp that I just "had" to buy over the past few years and now I wonder what I was thinking. They'll make good OSWs.
