I'm thinking about joing the fan club. What do you think? Do you think it's worth the additonal money.? I think the gallery on SCS is superb and wonder if it is any better to join the fan club and what the advantages would be.
I've been a fan club member for about 4 years now I think and I absolutely LOVE it!!! Your uploads are instant along with being able to upload on Sunday's! I love supporting SCS, I get so much from this site every day!!!
Joining the fan club was a no-brainer for me! I love the "extras" like being able to upload on Sundays and getting to see the Dirty Dozen gallery! Those gals really WOW you with their talent! I get SO MUCH pleasure from SCS and I really want to support it to keep it going and joining the fan club is just a small way I can do that!

Being a fan club member has its perks and fun I think. The price is no more than a crafting magazine subscription BUT you get so much more I believe. The upload on Sunday's alone is worth it. ha! I would say go for it..... you won't turn back after you join! Plus we can see you in the Dirty Dozen challenges!
I've always thought it was worth it not primarily for any of the benefits (though I do appreciate them, of course) but as a way of supporting a resource that I use so much. I think that to buy about three magazines here would pay a year's sub, and I get way more than that in inspiration and tutorials. There's a great kid's site that I used to use a lot; when I used it occasionally I was happy to stick in the free part of it, but when I was minding my friend's youngest child and using it regularly - a couple of times a week- I was happy to pay the subscription for that too.
I asked for one for Christmas. I figure if I had an LSS close by I would give them my business..so why not give it to the place where I get so much support and inspiration..
My reasoning for joining the Fan Club was always just to give back in return for the awesome wealth of information I get from SCS. Yes, it's free to join and have access to galleries and forums, and such but I looked at the really small fee as a way to pay back and keep things running, as always!
I have been a member for several years. I cancelled my magazine subscriptions as they ran out because they did not give me all the advantages of Splitcoast. I feel I should support it because I go to it daily and enjoy all the benefits. Thanks Splitcoast.
Last year was the first year I joined the Fan Club? Does anyone know if they will send me an email so I know when to renew? I don't want to miss anything!
Is there an alternative to PayPal?
Sure - its much slower, but it works! Send your payment (along with your Splitcoast username) to:

I don't mind slower. I was just hoping I could mail it in since I don't do online shopping...this is good news. Now I just have to send the check. Thanks.
I get so much from this site I mainly wanted to give back a little. I used to get several Scrapbooking magazines and then a couple of card magazines. I quit all of them because I use SCS so much!

Exactly what I was going to say!!
I don't subscribe to magazines and I'm sure I get more information and inspiration here than I would from any magazine.
I joined for the instant uploads. I never thought instant uploads would make much of a difference for me until there was a Virtual stamping event on here, and EVERYONE got instant uploads just for that one (or few?) days. That was soooo cool, I signed up shortly after that.
I've let mine lapse but I am going to sign up for it again. With the instant uploads, uploads on Sunday, Dirty Dozen gallery, and I think there's also a forum here with templates you can only get as a member ~ you just can't go wrong!
