WT353 - Use It or Lose It (12/15/11)
Welcome, everyone, to this week's WTUI challenge. This week, I'm challenging to dig into your gallery to your favorites and actually USE one to make a project. It was news to me that this wasn't just a collection of gorgeous cards, but something I could actually USE as inspiration when I needed that extra push.
If you don't know how to favorite a card, here's your lesson... when you gaze at a beautiful card, look just below it. (I know, I know, it's hard to take your eyes off of it, but it'll just take a second, I promise! ;) ) You see the little heart? Click it; it will turn pink, and that means it's in your favorites! Yup, that simple!
For my sample, I chose THIS AMAZING WONDER to fashion my card after. I am woman-enough to say that this is the very first all-white card I have ever made. Those of you who know me know that I'm a kraft-a-holic, so white is stretch for me. But, that card was TOO stunning not to copy.
I can't wait to see where you find inspiration and what you do with it. You can see all that fabulousness (AKA the gallery for this challenge) HERE.
Don't forget to include the keyword WT353 when uploading your cards.

Great challenge this week. Mainly the reason I put cards into my favorites is so I can CASE them in the future. So here's my card, inspired by a card by Pam124.

WT353 Celebrate by Crafty Julia
Great Challenge, never created a My Favorite folder before, just viewed the images!
I just couldn't resist bfinlay's adorable Oh Boy! card- I made a few substitutions but kept the overall design intact.
Here is my card: Celebrate Thanks for looking!

WT353 Happy Winter Ram by Crafty Julia
I just love JBgreendawn's Save Time, I CASE'd it and came up with Happy Winter Ram
I used a brass embossing plate for the holly- covered design areas of plate with Versamark ink, doubled the paper on top, then rubbed a wooden stamp, hard side up, against the plate to embed the embossing ink before I applied the embossing powder and used my heat gun- seemed to work pretty well.

Beautiful sample Michelle! I'm home with a sick kid, so maybe I can sneak up to my craft room when she falls asleep.

WT353 Brazen Christmas by Cook22 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
I spent most of the day in bed so am late coming along, and will have to take a better photo tomorrow.
But at least while I was in bed I had a fun time going through all my favourites, and should have a second inspired project tomorrow. So thanks for this challenge, Michelle.

It sure feels good to be able to stamp again! I think I was starting to develop a little bit of rust!
I love this challenge, and I cased this adorable card by mamamostamps and made my version of her cute elf shoes!

This was HARD as all the cards in MY favorites are cards that I think are SO gorgeous and I could NEVER make one of them. But I tried. Here it is.
