DEC11VSNKIDS ~ Saturday, Dec 10 ~ 12pm ET~ Inky Finger Art
Title: Inky Finger Art
Hostess: Patty (pattyb)
Keyword: DEC11VSNKIDS
Day/Date: Saturday, December 10th
Time: (Noon) 12:00pm ET
Hey kids it's time for you to get inky! Today you even get your hands messy and I promise you that mom will be A-okay with it! I mean it's a Splitcoast VSN challenge so she has to be okay with it right? I'll bet she'll even want to do this! Look at your fingers, see all those lines on the tips of them? Those are your "fingerprints" and no body else has fingerprints like yours! I want you to use your fingerprints to make a winter or Christmas card or picture - you can do reindeer (see the sample) or snowmen, or Christmas trees, Christmas bells, Christmas stockings, maybe a wreath, lights, or even a penguin! Those are some of my ideas, what can you think of make with your fingerprints?
Special note to mom - you might want to have them make two so that you can frame one! I guarantee you that those little fingers will grow all to fast, you'll have a special memento and it never hurts to have a copy of those unique fingerprints.
UPLOADING/CHALLENGE INSTRUCTIONS:

Such a cute challenge for the wee ones! My wee one is out to breakfast with her Daddy, but I guarantee she will want to play as soon as I read it to her!
And a quick update....Patty had a family emergency, so she can't be here right now.....but I'll be here along with some fellow VSN hostesses, so feel free to chat away!
I put finger print in the search line in the gallery and there's one idea I may have to case - like I said no kids in the house so I considered inking up the dog's or cat's paw but wondered if that could be construed as animal abuse????
Oops, DD just got home from breakfast and flew over to her grandma's for a visit. She'll play later, wink, as she has to come into my craft room when I am there!

Naw, I dared Michelle (tygerpaws) to do it once and I'm don't think she took me up on it! If she's out there listening, I'll dare her again to do it!

Hubby just said to his buddy that it's colder than a well digger's {bum} out there. It's 26 degrees with some fog :( But we have the woodstove going and it's warm in here.
We've got the woodstove going too! In fact I got up at around 5 to put more wood in and was hoping to see the Lunar Eclipse...but the moon was still bright and full then. By the time the eclipse was happening the moon was behind our mountain and I couldn't see it. Did anyone else see it?
Not original - found a very similar card in the gallery. I used old olive ink for the body, a copic to make the legs and antlers, my nesties for the oval and scalloped ovals. Hand cut the end of the very vanilla "ribbon".
THAT is adorable!!! I use the spray cleaner you spritz onto the stamp scrubby pad directly onto my fingers and then wash with soap and water! Works for me and I get inky very often!
First I want to say thanks to my fellow hostesses for stepping in for me, one the best parts of VSN is the other hostesses and how well they all work together.
Second thanks everyone for giving it a try! Now to go back and look at everything!
