Exclamation Ya know what makes me crazy!

Well, I've been stamping for about 3 hours and not 1 card has been made!! I'm torn 4 in half for the trash but not a single one pulled together to make me happy :( I'm totally in the mood too! Ugh!

Aww, I know how that feels. Maybe the very next one will be the ONE that makes your heart sing! Keep on inking. =)

Don't feel bad! I made 2 in the last 5 days. Get too many ideas in my head at one time. I started taking photos with my phone so I could remember the placements I like.

Been there, done that!
It's rare that I ever make a card that I like.
I'm trying to be forgiving of myself, but it's not easy, especially when I feel like I'm wasting paper, ink and time!

I do it all the time. I have learned when I am in "that mood" to just ink up a stamp and sit and color..then sometimes and idea happens.

I agree it's hard to come up with an "original" idea every time. I recently made some cards for a swap and I was pleased with the way they turned out so I made an extra one for myself and have used the design layout (sketch) to make other cards only with different colors, designer paper, etc. Once you have a layout that works you don't have to reinvent the wheel every time. HTH

When that happens to me I think I *could* go clean the bathroom instead of continuing to craft and suddenly I like that card or scrapbook page I'd been working on so much better after all. LOL

I'll just keep looking at magazines and splitcoast or maybe find a challenge layout. I'm ready to play just don't know what to do yet. And Melissa I'm right there with on not liking much of my cards! I'm hard on myself! Oh and Rosie, clean? Nah, I can do that any time!

That happens to me all the time! I find that the ideas I generated in that time usually get put to use in later projects, though.

The day will come when you make a card you're thrilled with. Then two weeks later you look at it again and wonder how you could have liked it when you made it, it's so ugly.

No time and material need to be wasted, however. Put your boo-boo's in a box and some day you will be recycling some of the parts, or embellishing the card in a way that makes it gorgeous........I'm always amazed at how handy the discards can become. This is too expensive a hobby to throw ANYTHING away!

I've been there. What I try to do is take a picture of the cards I make that I like, and then when I need some inspiration I pull out those pictures and make another similar or identical card. Sometimes just copying a previous card gets my creative juices flowing again. Good luck!
