This weeks Inspiration Challenge comes from the wonderful Etsy Store of Singing Cat Studio featuring polymer clay components colored with mica powders and sealed with a clear, permanent, water-resistant acrylic finish. The artist adds a wide range of elements to her creations, including vintage and antique buttons to contemporary filigrees and stampings.
Remember, out of respect for the creative originality of this talented artisan, please do not print out photos of the items to use directly on your project or copy a piece exactly.
I have asked Audrie (girlgeek101) to join me in making an additional inspired card sample this week.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many choices, Ive uploaded five of my favorites so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. The rest of you, remember to let us know which item from Singing Cat Studio that inspired you.
Use the keyword: IC311 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
I love this weeks' website, the little jewelry elements are perfect miniature layouts that are so very inspiring. Thank you for inviting me this week - and I can't wait to play again tomorrow - smiles!
Wow, what an amazing store!!! As soon as I finish drooling over the gorgeous inspiration pieces, I'll go back and pick one for my project! Thanks, Stef!!!
Fabulous inspiration there - this is one of those sites I could make a dozen cards from easily. Just trying to kill a headache, be back later. I foresee lots of fab texture in the gallery today.
Here is my try at it. I've been in a bit of a funk lately, not crafting except when needed. This challenge helped me create just for the fun of it! IC311 submission by pixxiewacorgi - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
I used as inspiration one of the pictures provided on the challenge post, the last one. It made for an awesome sketch!
