Alright, I can tell it is time to get off the computer and get something to eat because I thought you were talking about a recipe!!!! That would be gross. These are really cute!
Gail, I had the same thought!! Blech!! LOL! Then I realized what it really meant.
BTW, around here we call that the "Yucky Food Game." We think up combinations of three foods that you'd like alone but together . . . yuck. Everyone then says "BLECH!" and "EEWWW!"
Or you can start with one food and go around and everyone adds one to the "recipe."
You are not alone, Phantom. I never did like candy corn. But I love Oreos and Peanut Cups! I guess I'll just have to pluck that turkey before eating it.
It really is kind of blah on its own, but I never eat it on its own anymore...the pumpkins are even better. I love all the elements of these cute treats with the exception of the fake frosting...if I made them I'd have to use home-made.
I made some of these for the nieces & nephews at our family Thanksgiving dinner this year and they were a huge hit! They were not all that hard to do either.

This is what greeted us at church last Sunday after services. We had a carry-in and Pastor's wife and daughter joined forces in creating these yummy pumpkin cupcakes with acorn accents! Too adorable.

The acorns are adorable! Do you know what the layer is between the kiss and the chip?
To me, from looking at the picture, they look like they where put together with choclate kiss, mini nilla wafer and mini choclate chip on top. NabiscoWorld
I believe they used a think layer of chocolate frosting to anchor the kiss to the mini wafer. And, I thought she said the top was just a squeezed drop of chocolate frosting. When we ate them I didn't think that the top looked like a solid little chip. It looked more like a flourish. If you used a chip, it would have to have frosting anchoring it as well and I didn't think it looked that way. I can find out for you.
Thanks for the replies. I didn't know there were mini 'nilla wafers. I'll have to check for them. A drop of frosting and a chocolate chip sounds simpler than shaping the frosting
I am not even going to try these. They are so cute, but I can just see myself ending up with five turkeys and a tummy full of peanut butter cups, whoppers and Oreo double-stuff cookies!
