Newsprint
I like working with printed paper (newsprint, bookprint, stamped, etc.) This will be another fun challenge. THANKS! I look forward to seeing all of the "newsy" creations! Heehee!
OOPS!! I NOW read your instructions carefully and see that it is to be black and white from the newspaper. I won't be in such a hurry next time. : ( I used a colored photo from yesterday's front page. Today is a busy day for me, so this card is it...no time to make a correct one.

Oh Sallie, don't worry about using a colored photo. I used black and white in my write up of the challenge as a tie in to newspapers and the old joke, "What is black and white and red (read) all over?"
I used a city resources catalog since we don't take the newspaper. I chose pacific point for the card base since the titles of the articles were a bright blue. I punched out the butterflies and they are mounted on pacific point punched butterflies with pop dots.
Here is my card for today"s challenge. The newsprint idea was fun. I started out with some lacey spellbinders but didn't go any where with that. I like this image on the newsprint but not that crazy about the rest of the card! Oh well maybe next time! Enjoy your day and thanks for the fun challenge!
I am so glad you came up with the challenge Toni. I saw some cards using newsprint a few weeks ago (I think it was on the Hero Arts website), really liked the look and meant to try it, but kind of forgot. So you gave me a second chance. Here are my gingerbread newsboys.
For this challenge-which I really like!!- I found a newspaper flyer and then a scrap of DP newsprint that I distressed with chocolate chip ink that describes a journey. I added Kaiser's secret bird society paper, some stamped Pattern paper, ribbons, and a DC flower from my stash. Enjoy your journey today
What a nice surprise to see that today's Way to Use It Challenge was to use newsprint. I had made this card last week and never uploaded it! Here is my CARD
